"I hired US ProPaint and Renovation after meeting JR, discussing my project, and receiving what I thought was a fair and thorough proposal describing the work to be completed in 2 bathrooms. The team that worked in my home was professional, and they arrived on time each day. They were very careful to clean up after themselves each day. JR and his team also made sure, for each key piece of the project, that products were installed as I wanted them and that I was pleased with their progress. The team removed a vanity and granite countertops, installed a new bathroom vanity, installed LVT flooring in 2 bathrooms with transitions to meet the existing wood floors, installed new toilets, and then painted ceilings, doors, trim, and walls. "Richard was fantastic to work with. It helped that we planned ahead -- contracted in September for work to begin after Thanksgiving, while the house was unoccupied in the winter. But he stayed in regular contact with us via phone and text message, sent us photo updates, and called whenever unexpected issues arose. Since the house is at least 160 years old, sometimes surprises did pop up -- but he always found a smart, economical way to work through or around them. Our tastes were sometimes a bit different than his. Sometimes he'd persuade us to go his way, otherwise he'd go with our wishes, but it was always a good give-and-take. And he worked his butt off to get that wall bench right (see photo below). The job took a bit longer than originally planned due to unanticipated problems caused by the "antique" nature of the house itself, this winter's 3 Nor'easters, some cabinetry not delivered on time, a couple of our change orders, and other odds and ends -- but we know both from Richard's regular photos, as well as reports from friends living in and visiting town, that his crew was there working almost day in and day out unless there was a good reason for delay. He was also good about anticipating how far in advance we needed to order and/or call for delivery of key items: e.g., appliances, cabinetry, countertops, bathroom tiles, fixtures, etc. Except when the supplier messed up (which happened occasionally), this helped move things along. Best of all, compared to most of the contractors who are known as "regulars" in Provincetown and therefore in high demand, his pricing was very reasonable, especially considering that he and his crew were driving up every day from Hyannis. Definitely give him a shot at bidding your job."
