"We couldn't be happier with the kitchen renovation Sandwich Kitchens & Construction completed at our home. From the very start Keith was responsive to meeting us at our home to discuss our desires and needs. He presented a design plan that in the end exceeded our expectations. Karl, the carpenter who installed the cabinets, flooring, backsplash and trim work is a true craftsman. His attention to detail is phenomenal. Quality work was completely by electrical, plumbing, painting and countertop subcontractors. Both Keith and Karl made everything run extremely smooth and efficient. It took just one month and one day to complete the entire project. We were so happy with the quality of their work we hired them to install a hardwood floor in one of our bedrooms and plan to hire them for additional projects in the future. "Richard was fantastic to work with. It helped that we planned ahead -- contracted in September for work to begin after Thanksgiving, while the house was unoccupied in the winter. But he stayed in regular contact with us via phone and text message, sent us photo updates, and called whenever unexpected issues arose. Since the house is at least 160 years old, sometimes surprises did pop up -- but he always found a smart, economical way to work through or around them. Our tastes were sometimes a bit different than his. Sometimes he'd persuade us to go his way, otherwise he'd go with our wishes, but it was always a good give-and-take. And he worked his butt off to get that wall bench right (see photo below). The job took a bit longer than originally planned due to unanticipated problems caused by the "antique" nature of the house itself, this winter's 3 Nor'easters, some cabinetry not delivered on time, a couple of our change orders, and other odds and ends -- but we know both from Richard's regular photos, as well as reports from friends living in and visiting town, that his crew was there working almost day in and day out unless there was a good reason for delay. He was also good about anticipating how far in advance we needed to order and/or call for delivery of key items: e.g., appliances, cabinetry, countertops, bathroom tiles, fixtures, etc. Except when the supplier messed up (which happened occasionally), this helped move things along. Best of all, compared to most of the contractors who are known as "regulars" in Provincetown and therefore in high demand, his pricing was very reasonable, especially considering that he and his crew were driving up every day from Hyannis. Definitely give him a shot at bidding your job."
