"Everything went well initially. Countertop looked great. However, when I told the man in charge to remove the remainder off of my deck, he was obviously annoyed. I had told when he was taking it out that I only wanted ONE piece of the countertop left with me and showed him the piece I wanted. He had an obvious attitude and then went out to his truck and made me wait another 30 minutes to return to take it. They left a mess under the countertops (crumbled countertop, etc.) although they did sweep my floor. When I really looked at it afterwards, I notice that they cracked my backsplash and didn't tell me. Also, the plumber was great who came a couple of hours late, however, he told me the countertop crew had thrown away a part I needed to hook my garbage disposal back up so I had to give him $30 to replace it. Atila, the salesman/owner was wonderful during the sale process and very responsive. However, I was expecting a follow up call which didn't happen. The price was good for the work that was done."

They have very competitive prices and really stand out by offering a free sink and free installation. The two gentlemen that did my installation were absolutely wonderful. They were meticulousand ensured everything was level and properly supported prior to laying the granite. They laid drop cloths and cleaned behind themselves as they went. They were always on time, there were no surprises, and they were so helpful when it came to problem solving for how best to create a kitchen counter bar when previously the island was all one level. And as the project progressed they paid attention to detail - noticing the sag in the kitchen floor and advising we look into that before putting on the very heavy granite countertops. We are BEYOND grateful for that wise suggestion. Because once they opened up the floor we found substantial termite damage and rot that would have led to a total kitchen collapse if it had gone untreated. 
S & J adapted their schedule to create additional time to rebuild the floor from the guts up. Instead of telling us they were unavailable, they simply adapted with gracious flexibility to work us into their very busy schedule so that we could have a solid and healthy floor before they completed the rest of the remodel.
From top to bottom the kitchen is a dream. Precisely what we'd hoped for. They realized every item they'd committed to and were very careful to do finishing touch ups down to the smallest details of paint and electric outlet covers. They clearly take a great deal of pride in their work and it was an absolute pleasure to do business with them.
We were looking for a contractor who was easy to work with as this was our first home remodeling project and who would advise us, be creative, introduce us to reliable vendors, be open to taking on a project with a relatively modest budget, and still do a thorough job. We could not be more pleased! They responded promptly to all emails, calls, texts and followed through on everything they set out to do at a very reasonable cost. 
We will 100% be going back to Steve at S & J Painting and Remodeling for all future projects we have planned for our house. You cannot go wrong with this team!
