Get matched with top deck pros in Norfolk, MA

"Steve and his team are A+ builders, designers, craftsmen, and construction professionals who had the ability to get us from vision to reality through relentless planning and execution. I think of Steve, John, and Joe as our partners in this home project and not just as contractors and carpenters. The team's attention to detail was very impressive. Every corner of trim or siding or window or decking, where one material meets another, just looks plain clean and awesome. The professionalism of the entire team was beyond stellar. The respect and courtesy of the core team and the way they interacted with me and my family throughout the entire project was unmatched. I cannot thank them enough for the care they wall put in to their work as well as how considerate they were in their time with us. And finally, Steve was great at communicating with us and responding to questions and concerns as well as regularly giving us timely updates on what was going to happen next and what he needed from us to keep the project moving forward. We are beyond thrilled with the final product. We have been able to take our 70s “cardboard” split level house and turn it into our dream home. I would not hesitate hiring South Eastern Carpentry again for another project. If you’re looking for a partner to help create, rebuild, or renovate your home, you’d be lucky to get South Eastern Carpentry on your side."

"Customer service excellent;timely. Expedient in scheduling/completing deck project. Will consider using for future maintenance of deck. I was provided an estimated warranty for duration of staining and, of course, time will determine this. Would definitely consider contacting for future projects."

"As all the previous reviewers have said, DC 57 Construction is definitely a 5 star company. Lucas came to my home 3 times and helped me plan out the job. The job included: rebuilding a wood ladder to the upstairs loft, installing a railing and a new door in the loft, and adding shelves in the bathrooms. In addition, Lucas installed two railings for my back deck. Lucas and Tiago are both finish carpenters and they do excellent work at a very reasonable price. I am having Lucas come back soon to install a new screen door. Hiring Lucas and Tiago was definitely a great decision as my home looks much better."

"The project went very well. Timing and budget were met. More importantly, I had a curvy design (drawn on graph paper) and a new material in mind (recycled rubber pavers, now offered by Azek). Unlike many of the contractors I spoke with, Jeff from MasonWorks was willing to work with my design and this unfamiliar material that involved laying plastic grids over the compacted base and then installing the pavers. The pavers themselves could be cut with a woodworking tools. I wanted a dogwood blossom design on the entry and main patios which required a lot of diagonal cuts. I didn't want to pay for the extra labor to make that happen, so MasonWorks team laid the pavers in a random pattern and gave me a few days before applying the sand to lock in when I was able to cut and rearrange the pavers to make my design. I am so thrilled with the result. I had wanted a deck, but the raised terrace was a great solution that didn't conflict with zoning. The work was done in 2011 and, 8 years later, it is holding up really well, even though I did dig out the base material pretty close to the edge of the pavers to allow for more planting. The first photo is from 2018. The others are from 3-5 years ago."

"The father and son crew did an excellent job on my pool deck. The deck is solidly built and very attractive to the eye. Thanks!"

"5/5 Stars – Outstanding work, reasonable pricing, and incredible customer service! I am absolutely thrilled with the deck staining job done by Evolution Painting Company. A huge thanks to Evelyn, the office manager, who made the entire process seamless from start to finish. She was fantastic with communication, organized the scheduling perfectly, and provided a very reasonable price for such high-quality work. The crew's professionalism went above and beyond. Before starting, they carefully moved all of my heavy deck furniture out of the way, and once the stain was perfectly dry, they returned to put every single piece exactly back where it belonged. The deck looks brand new with a beautiful, flawless finish. It is rare to find a company that is this efficient, respectful of your property, and skilled at their craft. I highly recommend Evolution Painting Company!"

"Working with Dean and his team was such a fantastic experience! Dean is very responsive and professional and his team are hard workers They replaced our deck and even expanded for us . Everything came out perfectly! Great communication and the best workmanship."

"Deck was started on the date promised they kept me informed all along the way deck was built like a tank. All scrap from old deck was cleaned up. I can't remember names, but the project manager was great on final walk through he sanded the railing to take care of splinters set nails deeper and replaced a rotted board on the overhang that opened during construction. He did not leave until I was happy."

"I will hierd next time too!"
