"I contacted Justin Hemmert, the owner, to see if I needed a wiring update for a large electrical project at my residence. Justin was on time and very knowledgeable. After looking at the wiring and the electrical usage I was planning, he told me the existing wiring was sufficient, and told me several things to watch for when the usage was occurring. He gave a quote if additional work is wanted/needed, which was very reasonable. All this was without cost; he could have easily told me an update was needed. While I haven't had him do work for me yet, my opinion is he is competent, reasonable, and honest."

Emergency services offered

"Bart knows what he is doing. He located the problem after some troubleshooting which was impressive, considering the number of areas the problem could have been. Once he did that, he made the necessary repairs. After the repairs, he checked some switches on the panel with breakers built in for testing each respective switch, and found two out of the 3 switches did not test and were defective. He just could have packed up and gone home. It was late at night, and he had had a long day. But he went the extra mile, tested these switches, and advised I get all three changed out. He immediately told me these switches were a little pricey, but he recommended they be changed. I asked him to order them, and let me know when they were in. Bart is the real deal. His cost per hour is EXTREMELY reasonable; much more so than one local big electrical repair company in Idaho Falls I used to call. He will get all of my business in the future."

FAQs for electrical service projects in Swanlake, ID

Always start by confirming the pro’s license number, insurance coverage, and experience level. Visit the electrician’s website, scan recent customer reviews, and verify credentials with your local labor department. Request proof of liability insurance and at least two references that you can contact. These quick checks take only a few minutes but go a long way toward ensuring safe, code-compliant work and protecting your home in the event of an issue.

Grouping several electrical jobs into one appointment means you pay a single service-call fee and one set of travel expenses. Instead of asking a pro to return three separate times for outlets, switches, and fixtures, have everything tackled in one visit. The electrician stays productive, and you avoid extra trip charges, often shaving a sizable chunk off the final bill without compromising quality.

DIY electrical work can be dangerous and, in many areas, illegal without a license. One miswired connection risks shocks, fires, or expensive damage. Licensed electricians carry the right tools, follow local code, and know how to shut down power safely before they start. Hiring a pro may cost more upfront, but it protects your home, family, and insurance coverage in the long run.
