"He did a great job. Was careful not to dig up the rest of the yard with his equipment."

"We hired CK Services to run a gas line from our basement to the kitchen for a stove. They were reasonable, timely and excellent with communication. When Chris came out to give the quote, he explained the materials which would be used and also explained what would be done. We had some questions about other plumbing things in the house and he took time to answer all of those and give suggestions. His guidance certainly saved us money as well as he told us certain things weren't worth doing. He has an incredible wealth of knowledge! Other plumbers that came out to give quotes wanted to cut into the basement ceiling and then bring in other contractors to fix the ceiling. Chris saw that he could run the line through the basement ceiling up to the kitchen. We're so happy with the job that was done! We will definitely be doing business with them again and are happy to recommend them to anyone."

"They were able to complete the job in one day. They were professional and thorough. Our bedroom window no longer leaks! They did forget to finish one section of a window but immediately sent someone back out to fix it. Would re hire for any house project"

"This was a huge project requiring removal of 25+ yrs of landscaping & redoing about 3/4's of my yard. For that very reason I wanted to be sure the person I hired knew what he was doing so I was willing to pay for that. Quality work, quality products, quality healthy trees & bushes & excellent service. Greg works with you, resolves any mistakes or oversights amicably. His staff were friendly & many times did thoughtful things I didn't ask to be done like trimming hanging or dead tree branches or asked if there was some other little thing I needed done. I couldn't be happier with the end result."

"I couldn’t be happier with my new backyard walkway. Greenstone Gardens did an exceptional and professional job planning and executing this project. Mark Senior is great. He had great ideas, didn’t pressure me, and came up with a very fair price. The crew was excellent. My backyard looks so much cleaner and neater now. I will definitely use this company for future landscape projects. Thank you for your terrific work!"

"The two man crew arrived right on time and called ahead to say they were on the way. They went straight to work and were very professional and open to questions. They cleaned up after themselves and were respectful of my property. Very good experience overall."
Depth depends on the type of installation and the regulations in your area. Water supply lines typically require 24 inches, while drainage pipes are often installed 36 inches below grade. For most general projects, a depth of 12 to 24 inches and a width of about eight inches is sufficient. Sticking to these specs keeps your utilities safe, code-compliant, and easier to maintain later.
When you need to run utilities underground, you’ve got two main options: boring or trenching. Boring employs directional drilling to install utilities without exposing a continuous channel, while trenching requires excavating an open channel to place utilities securely. Directional drilling preserves landscape integrity, whereas trenching provides direct access for installation, albeit with greater surface disruption. This clear comparison helps you select the method best suited to your project.
Plan on 12 hours to dig 100 linear feet when the soil is cooperative and you can work continuously. This timeframe applies when work is performed consistently and methodically. Factors such as rocky soil, tree roots, obstructions, and frozen ground increase the overall duration, demanding extra planning and effort. Comprehensive operational planning ensures that every challenge is managed efficiently and the project is completed on schedule.
If you want your yard to look untouched, laying fresh sod over the trench is the quickest fix. New sod needs 30 to 45 days to root and blend with the rest of your lawn. A local sod pro can provide you with a firm timeline and tips to ensure the grass takes hold and maintains your curb appeal.
