Customers say: Quick response
"Awesome finish work to our tiny remote cabin! Ryan and crew installed our LVP flooring in just a few hours. He kept us up to date on the project with text and pictures, super helpful since we live in Seattle and had to work. His crew kept the construction site clean and the vendor he used for our cedar interior work was meticulous. Thanks Ryan!"

"Darrin is very detail-oriented and was very picky (just like I was) on the grade of the land for the quality of the product and work regarding a water break! I would highly recommend them in the future to other people!"

"Cory and Holly are great to work with! They communicated well, arrived on time each day, were mindful of the budget and meticulous in the work. Cory was flexible as we made changes as the project progressed. We were very pleased with their service and integrity. We highly recommended Thacker Excavation!"

"This project was on my late fatherâ s property. Very sentimental to me and J.L. was kind and respectful of the space. He listened to my concerns and took great care of the property and the surrounding buildings."

"We recently had Ybarra Professional Builders do some remodeling in our home. We had a new tiled shower put in our master bathroom. We had new quartz countertops and appliances installed in the kitchen. We had the cabinets in the bathroom and kitchen refinished. And we had the whole house painted on the inside. Mike Haim was our project manager and we appreciated his excellent service and vision. Oswaldo and Ray were our expert workmen and they did the whole project. It was great only having two people come in and out to do the work. The company has all their own workmen and so you donâ t have someone new for each job. We canâ t say enough good things about the work that was done and the people who did it. We wouldnâ t think of calling someone else, if we want something done again. Thanks Mike, Oswaldo and Ray! It looks wonderful!"

"Geoff and his team were a lifeline as no one seemed to know how to find the leak that was causing a major water leak in my yard. They located the leak and repaired the water line within 24 hours of contacting them. They were on time, extremely fair on the quote and communicated with me throughout the process. They did a top notch job and most importantly gave me peace of mind. I will be calling on them again with any major repairs and highly recommended Sound Tradesmen LLC."

Allison Excavation LLC is a locally owned and operated company that values honesty and integrity in all aspects of our business. Our dedicated team of professionals have over 12 years of hands on experience, to provide innovative ideas and suggestions tailored to your projects. Our services are customized to your individual needs, paying close attention to the details of each project that we are involved with.
Depth depends on the type of installation and the regulations in your area. Water supply lines typically require 24 inches, while drainage pipes are often installed 36 inches below grade. For most general projects, a depth of 12 to 24 inches and a width of about eight inches is sufficient. Sticking to these specs keeps your utilities safe, code-compliant, and easier to maintain later.
When you need to run utilities underground, you’ve got two main options: boring or trenching. Boring employs directional drilling to install utilities without exposing a continuous channel, while trenching requires excavating an open channel to place utilities securely. Directional drilling preserves landscape integrity, whereas trenching provides direct access for installation, albeit with greater surface disruption. This clear comparison helps you select the method best suited to your project.
Plan on 12 hours to dig 100 linear feet when the soil is cooperative and you can work continuously. This timeframe applies when work is performed consistently and methodically. Factors such as rocky soil, tree roots, obstructions, and frozen ground increase the overall duration, demanding extra planning and effort. Comprehensive operational planning ensures that every challenge is managed efficiently and the project is completed on schedule.
If you want your yard to look untouched, laying fresh sod over the trench is the quickest fix. New sod needs 30 to 45 days to root and blend with the rest of your lawn. A local sod pro can provide you with a firm timeline and tips to ensure the grass takes hold and maintains your curb appeal.
