"Joseph And Sons installed a brick paver patio for us. The employees did an excellent job on our patio. They were hard-working when installing our patio and we are happy we went with them. Whenever we had questions, angelo was able to answer them right away."

"Jonathan, Ernesto, and his Team did a great job renovating our stairs. As a first-time homebuyer, we wanted to renoâ our stairs and install metal railings. They acknowledged our concerns and answered our questions promptly. We love how our stairs and railings came out. 100% recommend these guys. I will contact them again for future projects."

"C3 was not the lowest cost, but they were the best. Josh and his team were punctual, worked all day, needed no supervision and did high-quality work. Josh provided some options for a better appearance and was fair in extra costs coming from excavating the slope. We are very happy with the wall and steps and even yard for summer entertaining. I recommend C3 and Josh for any hardscaping work."

"George responded right away via Angie?s text and then a phone call. Came out the next day to attempt to snake two clogged tubs on second floor of a side-by-side two family home, connected to one sewer line.. Clog was more severe than expected. Came back next day with partner to find pipe where they join but it was behind kitchen cabinet of both homes. Decided to bypass existing line and run new lines from each tub, join them and then drop a sngle pipe to the basement and reconnect to near the main drain. George and his team were professional and communicated in a timely manner. Cleaned up and covered opening with plastic and suggested not to close wall for a week and inspect for any leaks. No leaks so far. Closing walls this weekend. Offered us a great price and an unbeatable 12 month payment plan. Thank you George and team."

"The team did an amazing job. Even though several scans indicated there was a tank under our wooden deck, Sal and team removed everything very carefully, as nobody was sure. Turned out, there was no tank, but the team reconstructed the mahogany deck in a week's time at freezing temperatures to make sure we cold close on the house. I would recommend their services any day!"

"No hassle, in and out service. Scheduling was simple, they took care of permits and everything with the town. I removed my tank from the basement, they were in and out within 2-3 hours, within a week they schedulled the inspection and job was done. Great price, highly recommend. Cement job was a little patchy for the holes but good enough still for the 5 star"

"We got multiple bids for this job and besides being the most economical they did an incredible job in a very timely manner. I highly recommend them if you need to have an underground oil tank removed. I was always kept aware of the progress of our project and Roseanne who I dealt with could not have been more professional, straight forward, and courteous."

FAQs for excavation projects in Lake Hiawatha, NJ

Depth depends on the type of installation and the regulations in your area. Water supply lines typically require 24 inches, while drainage pipes are often installed 36 inches below grade. For most general projects, a depth of 12 to 24 inches and a width of about eight inches is sufficient. Sticking to these specs keeps your utilities safe, code-compliant, and easier to maintain later.

When you need to run utilities underground, you’ve got two main options: boring or trenching. Boring employs directional drilling to install utilities without exposing a continuous channel, while trenching requires excavating an open channel to place utilities securely. Directional drilling preserves landscape integrity, whereas trenching provides direct access for installation, albeit with greater surface disruption. This clear comparison helps you select the method best suited to your project.

Plan on 12 hours to dig 100 linear feet when the soil is cooperative and you can work continuously. This timeframe applies when work is performed consistently and methodically. Factors such as rocky soil, tree roots, obstructions, and frozen ground increase the overall duration, demanding extra planning and effort. Comprehensive operational planning ensures that every challenge is managed efficiently and the project is completed on schedule.

If you want your yard to look untouched, laying fresh sod over the trench is the quickest fix. New sod needs 30 to 45 days to root and blend with the rest of your lawn. A local sod pro can provide you with a firm timeline and tips to ensure the grass takes hold and maintains your curb appeal.
