"C2G was excellent during the entire process. they had a quote to my in less than 24 hours and promptly answered my questions when I called them. Once I selected them they were able to schedule the job just a few days out and I could not have been more satisfied with the outcome. The two workers who did the job were knowledgeable and respectful. In over 20 years of home ownership I would have to say this was the best experience I ever had with a home contractor."

"From start to finish they are by far the absolute most professional, fair, company I have EVER had the pleasure to work with. I needed to have my underground oil tank removed (which had recently failed a pressure test.) I was selling my home and needed my tank removed as a condition for selling my home. ALL the other companies I spoke too painted a doomsday scenario in which I would have to pay 20 to 30 thousand dollars to remove. Shelly was comforting, and optimistic. She didn't fill me with terror or try to panic me more than I was already. She NEVER quoted me a massive estimate. Instead she gave me an estimate that was a fraction of every other estimate. When the day came to remove the tank the Optima team came promptly and was fully prepared to do the job. As Shelly predicted the job went flawlessly, and they found my tank had NOT leaked, and the tank was actually in good condition despite it's advanced age. Within a couple hours the tank was safely removed! Great job!!"

"Excellent service! Called promptly. Arrived at time specified with crew. Pulled old pump and replaced pressure tank by early afternoon. From first contact to completion of project was less than 24 hours. When you have no water time is important. I’d recommend them."
Depth depends on the type of installation and the regulations in your area. Water supply lines typically require 24 inches, while drainage pipes are often installed 36 inches below grade. For most general projects, a depth of 12 to 24 inches and a width of about eight inches is sufficient. Sticking to these specs keeps your utilities safe, code-compliant, and easier to maintain later.
When you need to run utilities underground, you’ve got two main options: boring or trenching. Boring employs directional drilling to install utilities without exposing a continuous channel, while trenching requires excavating an open channel to place utilities securely. Directional drilling preserves landscape integrity, whereas trenching provides direct access for installation, albeit with greater surface disruption. This clear comparison helps you select the method best suited to your project.
Plan on 12 hours to dig 100 linear feet when the soil is cooperative and you can work continuously. This timeframe applies when work is performed consistently and methodically. Factors such as rocky soil, tree roots, obstructions, and frozen ground increase the overall duration, demanding extra planning and effort. Comprehensive operational planning ensures that every challenge is managed efficiently and the project is completed on schedule.
If you want your yard to look untouched, laying fresh sod over the trench is the quickest fix. New sod needs 30 to 45 days to root and blend with the rest of your lawn. A local sod pro can provide you with a firm timeline and tips to ensure the grass takes hold and maintains your curb appeal.
