"Got a call at 7:30 pm apologizing for not calling me earlier and telling me the dispatcher was late in giving him the information. I told him I wasn't actually complaining about any delay - I had only ordered this Angie's List deal earlier in that same day. He asked if he could come early the next morning, so we agreed on an 8:30am appt time.
 I arrived back at the house at 8:20 after taking the kids to daycare, and the technician was already there! He immediately recognized that I did not have a cutoff valve near my fireplace and told me about available options.  He removed the logs and located the problem with my oxygen sensor.  Since I didn't know what that was (as I have never had gas logs before), he showed me what it was and how it operated.
He cleaned the system and set the logs back into place.  The whole appointment only took 15 minutes!  Now the fireplace works and we can enjoy it in our home.

"They came out shortly after I purchased. The gentleman was so very helpful and he spent a long time up on the roof. He said that we had hail damage and we said that we would call our insurance company. When your insurance adjuster comes I would like to be here. They got together and spent a good 30 minutes up on the roof. The insurance adjuster came down and said that we did have hail damage on our roof and they would get it fixed. He was so exceptionally nice about the whole thing. He said that he was one of four companies in Birmingham that are qualified to replace the kind of roof that we have. He was so convincing with his presentation and qualifications that we agreed to let him put the new roof on. We have two turbines that lets the air out of our attic. He said that the turbines are very ineffective and he wanted to remove them and put in roof vents. He said that he would do it for free and pay half of our deductible. His men came and did the roof. It got up into the 90’s and his men stated until dark the first day. I thought that he was very exceptional in his service and I have recommended him. I would use him again."

"Two folks from Patch Adams Roofing came out and did a chimney sweep.
They are professional and nice folks. The service took them about 45
minutes. They gave me a quote for a new chase corner with a crossbreak
& drip edge for $495 which sounds fair. They told me they would call
back in the evening with a quote for a new piece of glass for the front
of the fireplace and I never did hear back from them. It's Monday so I
called their office and I haven't had any luck getting ahold of anyone
yet. When I made the appointment I called a few times and no one ever
seems to answer. Although, they will call you back if you leave a
message. Their receptionist is not all that friendly.
