"Eric & Riley were our service guys, and they did everything right!… These guys laid down tarps on the flooring throughout the house in order to get to the fireplace. They installed a BEAUTIFUL gas log fireplace for us. Looks very real and we are so very happy with it. Even after it was done they rechecked to make certain everything was safe and no gas was leaking out. They also went over all of the amazing features and safety features it has on it too. I’m feeling much safer after hearing all about it.— While here we had them service our basement gas fireplace. Eric noticed some issues that weren’t up to snuff, he took pictures to document everything and went over it with us. He redid the venting and also repainted the interior black, he noticed some rusting starting to happen. So happy and GRATEFUL for these two men and the jobs they did for us yesterday. "I found the tech to be very professional and very thorough about explaining what needed to be done and how long it would probably take once a decision was made on either repairing or replacement. Based on my decision to have a replacement and a more updated version of what was needed for the installation. All parts were ordered and he arrived and completed the project within 2 1/2 three hours at the most. He was very professional. He made sure that all of the inside was taken care of and cleaned up behind himself. He was very careful about making sure that he was thorough, that the new unit be tested and make sure there were no leaks, as well as showing me how it worked without a remote manually and with the remote. He made sure he cleaned up behind himself and also was able to explained that any concerns I may have with unit if it needed. By contacting the office or him directly, and it would be addressed immediately. Of course, I’m loving my new fireplace replacement."

"Detroit City Sweep came to two of my properties to repair a total of three fireplaces. They did a fine job repairing one gas fireplace and adding caps to my chimney. I had a second gas fireplace that they needed to order a part for. I had to call them half a dozen times to get them to order the part and come back to the house to install it. When they finally did, it turns out they ordered the wrong part. After multiple calls they came out a second time, and again, it was the wrong part. Three weeks passed and on the third visit they brought the wrong part again and said the correct part was going to cost me twice what they originally quoted. I would like to recommend Detroit City Sweep, but I just can't."

"It took forever to finally get on the schedule to have the work done once we contracted with them and got the parts ordered. There was also a little confusion over the gas burner that we could have with the log set we had ordered.  I think we started the process in early November and were told we would have it done in the first couple weeks of December.  We kept being told that there were others on the schedule ahead of us that needed to be completed.  We finally got it scheduled and were told it would be a 2-3 day job. I believe the installation took place the week of January 15.  It ended up being the full week, but the workers were very diligent, hard working, and cleaned up after themselves very completely.  They even braved some extreme weather conditions to get up on the roof and install the chimney liner.  We were very happy with the finished product and would have been more irritated with the delays in getting scheduled if we were actually occupying the house at the time.  We moved in a couple weeks after the job was completed and have really enjoyed our new fireplace!
