"We have had extensive remodeling work done on our home and Angel and Ailsa with Unique Transformations are, without a doubt, the best company we have had work on our home. Angel is extremely meticulous and everything down to minor details were done perfectly. Cleaned up after themselves on a daily basis - no garbage left behind like every other contractor we have had. I wish we had found them before having our kitchen remodeled. Will definitely use them for any future granite/cabinet work we need done and would recommend them most highly."

"Chris did all the measuring himself. Was excellent matching the granite patterns and hiding the seam on the one countertop. The fireplace was to have a seam in the travertine and he was able to cut and install in one piece....it is beautiful! We had three proposals and Chris was the middle priced..but, really glad we spent the extra money and choice him. He will be doing our bathrooms this fall! Great to work with!"

"Joe came out and gave me a right-on estimate. I am very allergic to paint, so Joe agreed to do the painting while we were away and to use no VOC paint. We only had to pack up breakables and the books in our bookcases. In our 2,000+ square foot home, Joe and his team moved all our furniture and paintings and put them back. They also took everything out of the closets, painted the closets, and then refilled the closets. We did not have to do anything and came back to a completely finished home. He repaired nicks in the walls and did all the prep necessary to complete the project professionally. We have very textured walls which are hard to cover with paint. I had tried to paint one room myself several months ago (with low VOC paint), but I left many white spots, and the line between the ceiling and the walls was very irregular; so, I know these walls are tricky to paint. Joe repainted the room and it looks great now. Joe and his team painted my kitchen cabinets a very nice white color last year and they did such a great job that I had them back this year to paint the entire interior of our home. Joe recommended painting the baseboards and moldings the same color as our white kitchen cabinets. This was a wonderful idea and with the walls a pale gold, the kitchen cabinets and baseboards and molding pop. We'll have Joe out to paint the exterior soon!"

"We covered pretty much everything. Along with a sealer on the carpets, wood and tile. Plus Paul cleaned the carpet on the stairs too. They were very professional and took extra care to be sure that the wood base of our island in the kitchen was covered so that there was no damage when cleaning the tile floor. They had to move a sofa bed (it weighs a ton) in one room and even came back later to take out the plastic foam guards under the sofa feet that had been put there to protect the carpet until it dried. Paul and Erica were very professional, caring and the floors look great."

FAQs for fireplace and wood stove service projects in Nobleton, FL

Start with a professional inspection. If damage is limited to a few bricks or the crown, a targeted repair helps keep costs and disruption to a minimum. Severe leaning, widespread mortar failure, or major fire damage usually signals it’s time for a complete teardown and rebuild. Your contractor will outline both price tags, but remember that rebuilding a failing stack is often cheaper than repeated patch jobs and the water leaks or fire hazards they allow.

Cracks provide water with an easy path into the masonry, weakening the bricks and mortar and increasing the risk of collapse or fire. Gaps can also let hot gases and sparks escape into attic spaces. Call a chimney pro as soon as you see cracking so they can seal small joints or recommend a larger rebuild before minor damage turns into a costly emergency.

Smoke rolling back into the room often indicates a blocked flue, a broken damper, or a drafting issue. Have a sweep inspect the damper, flue liner, and any obstructions right away. Most fixes involve clearing debris, repairing the liner, or adjusting the damper so the fireplace pulls air correctly. Don’t light another fire until a professional pinpoints the cause and confirms your system is venting safely.

Most policies cover chimney repairs caused by a sudden, covered event, such as lightning, a fallen tree, or a house fire. They won’t cover damage that stems from neglected maintenance or everyday wear. Review your policy or contact your agent before scheduling work to determine what documentation your insurer requires and what costs you will be responsible for.

Component life spans vary. Clay tile or cast-in-place liners last close to 50 years, while stainless-steel liners last 15 to 20 years. Mortar requires attention every 25 to 30 years, while crowns last 50 to 75 years. Use these numbers as a maintenance roadmap: schedule regular inspections, budget for future upgrades, and replace parts before age-related cracks develop into more significant problems.
