"Robert and his team only took 9 hours to get a gas stove out of here, put up two partial stone walls and install the wood burning stove. Robert took the time to show me the correct way to start the fire and use the damper. I am very impressed with the excellent workmanship by all working with Robert. "The mark of a good service company is the lack of need to take on an additional project (clean up) after the project is completed. This is definitely the case with CJW Chimney Sweep! Greg and Will placed runners all the way from the front door to the fireplace completely covering the tile and wood floor that was trafficked. In addition the entire fireplace hearth was covered. After their efficient professional work, there was NOTHING left to clean up. This is very highly appreciated which is exactly why we are repeat customers."

"Detroit City Sweep came to two of my properties to repair a total of three fireplaces. They did a fine job repairing one gas fireplace and adding caps to my chimney. I had a second gas fireplace that they needed to order a part for. I had to call them half a dozen times to get them to order the part and come back to the house to install it. When they finally did, it turns out they ordered the wrong part. After multiple calls they came out a second time, and again, it was the wrong part. Three weeks passed and on the third visit they brought the wrong part again and said the correct part was going to cost me twice what they originally quoted. I would like to recommend Detroit City Sweep, but I just can't."

"The job was done but it is very sloppy. There?s slurry and mortar all over the chimney and we are not confident it?s properly repaired. We have hired a different contractor to re-do the one fixed by Shamrock as well as the 2nd chimney that also needs repair. The tech from Shamrock was a nice guy he but didn?t do the work; his assistant did the work and its a mess."
