"He was very professional and does excellent work. I had a floor repair and before I could go and pick up supplies for the repair they had already repaired the floor before I returned. They removed the old carpet, repaired the floor, moved the furniture, installed new carpet and cleaned up before moving on to the next room. When I saw them vacuuming the first room before starting on the second room I knew I would forever use this company for all future carpet installations. The added plus was that they were inexpensive too! Thanks again"

"When I tell you these guys are pros, they are pros. I love having referrals instead of big companies and Sandman was one of the best referrals we've ever had. They have done two of our floors and both look amazing. The first floor was a re-finish of an existing floor and the other was tearing out the entire floor and starting from the floorboards. Their process is fantastic and they usually finish one floor in about 4 days. They are also great at communication and John let's you know where you are at in the process at all times. If you want your hardwood floor done right, this is the company you want to do it. If we ever need our floors done again, I will be calling them out. On top of their great work, they are extremely nice, polite, and they will let you know when they need something. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!"

"To be honest, I was afraid the appointment made with Herman, the best flooring specialist ever, was going to be a waste of his time. My dream project was to replace worn carpet on the stairway, hallway, and three bedrooms upstairs. "We wanted to install hardwood flooring in two bedrooms and the dining room of our home. We were given Kelco's name from another service provider we had used from Angie's List, plus I had seen their advertising. Not realizing Kelco provided sales of hardwood product, we started to shop around for flooring. We ended up at one of the big-box stores, where they were offering a pretty impressive sale on product and installation, one that seemed too good to pass up. Consequently, the business went to that store. We are happy with our new flooring, but there are a few spots where the boards are not perfect. When we addressed the issue with the installer, he explained that with a natural product like hardwood, imperfections are to be expected, and that the manufacturer will agree. He offered to replace the boards in question, but indicated doing so would compromise the rest of the floor since these boards would have to be cut out and the replacement would be glued in instead of nailed like the rest of the floor. However, after we brought the problem up to him, the other two rooms do not seem to have this. We thought maybe the installer just told us this to appease us and to prevent any rework on the part of his company.
Not sure whether to believe our installer or not, I reached out to Kelco. I was hesitant to call them since they did not do the job, and thought why should they bother to help at this point. The owner, who's first name escapes me now, took the time on a weekend, listened to my situation and offered his thoughts and advice. He is very professional and extremely knowledgeable about his business and his craft. I felt assured by him that the installer was being truthful but that the problem was with the product. Kelco deals exclusively with a local company for their hardwood, which helps with quality control. It is the basic lesson of you get what you pay for. Although Kelco's service and product costs were not in our budget for this project, we most certainly will contact them in the future if we decide to install hardwood flooring in any other areas of our home."

Larry was able to sand them down and stain the floors to match the woodwork trim. He was very aware of the dust it can create and contained it.
