I am writing this recommendation for Procrete and their owner Dave McBride. I decided to engage Dave and Procrete after searching for a hardscape / paver contractor local to my summer house in Margate. There are many contractors who will work at the shore, but my preference was to find a company based in the area vs. an hour away.

Dave was very professional in his approach, and consultative. I shared with him what we were looking for, to completely rebuild our back yard, from 50 year old ugly cracked concrete and a chain link fence to a new vinyl fence and pavers.

We shared our vision, and Dave’s firm provided a sketch of what the back yard could look like with a specific paver design, which we ended up going with – while making a few changes along the way.

We also had Dave install a built-in gas firepit that has exceeded our expectations. It is now the central point of our new back yard.

While at it, I also had Dave replace my old cracked driveway with new concrete and pavers for my front walkway. AS his team was already at my house doing a job, the extra cost was not prohibitive.

My biggest concern going in was using a contractor that I did not have a previous referral for. Dave provided referrals plus a list of properties in the local area that he did work on.

I must say, the work was top notch and we are thrilled with how our back yard came out. I had no less than 4 neighbors comment on the work they were doing and their commitment to doing a good job vs. a fast job.

I have been screwed before by contractors that finish the job 80-90% and then never come back to truly complete the job. Dave even came back to finish all of my items on a punch list after the job was done.

I 100% recommend Dave and Procrete for hardscaping, paver and concrete work.

"We used quality 1st on two occasions in the past year to address water in the basement of our brownstone. They first addressed the problem from the crawlspace - installed a sump pump, water guard trench, and cleanspace wall system (they also added support to the ceiling, which is the floor of a kitchen above). Their approach was sound, the cost was fair, and we were very happy with their service and the work itself. They then returned to address water coming in from the main basement area - we worked together on a reasonable approach that included adding a 2nd sump pump, a water guard trench and cleanspace wall system only where needed. This required a lot of coordination and communication with our plumber as well - all went smoothly, work was performed and cleaned up professionally. So far, so good! "I hired Aztec for major repairs due to termite damage. They were prompt, professional, and easy to work with. They came in less than 10 days after we contacted them to FINISH the work. First, they evaluated the damage and walked me through the needed repairs which included placing three new steel support beams along with two main horizontal wood beams and several sistered beams. They were able to complete the work, once they started, in three days. At each step, I was informed of progress and there were no surprises (from my end). The work included everything from removing electrical wiring and then replacing it, pouring the new steel vertical support beams, affixing them solidly into my concrete floor, and then pacing the numerous horizontal beams. I could not recommend AZtec (and Greg!) more."

"I was required by my insurance company to replace an elevated section of my sidewalk due to underground tree roots. I reached out to Local Boyz and they were quick to respond with an estimate. The company kept me updated as to what permits would be required and also dates available so that I could meet the insurance company deadlines. The owner arrived at my home this morning around 7:30 and did a great job digging up tree roots, and pouring the cement to even out the sidewalk path. The work was done meticulously, and due to the very cold weather expected, a cement cover was placed across to protect it from the upcoming low temperatures. I was very pleased with the whole process and would definitely recommend Local Boyz!"

"Everything went Incredibly well! I contacted Fred after seeing reviews in Angie's List. I was not at all sure what exactly I wanted as far as colors, patterns, etc. Fred came to the house and walked me through everything, made suggestions and demonstrated an incredible amount of knowledge and professionalism. Once we agreed on what work was to be done (I opted to follow all of Fred's suggestions) he reassured me that changes to the color and patterns could be made right up to the day before the work was going to be performed. He stated that it looked to be a 4 day job and described what would likely be done each day.
Later that evening I received the estimate and diagram by e-mail. I had received an estimate prior to calling Fred from a company that used EP Henry. Fred's estimate was half of what the other estimate was, and Fred's estimate included the 35 ft sidewalk, which was not a part of the EP Henry estimate.

I live alone and it just happened that I found out at the last minute that I had to go out of town and would not be back until the afternoon of the last day. Fred reassured me I had nothing to worry about. He was right. I came home the afternoon of the last day of work and Fred and his team had just left. Everything looked amazing! Perfectly done with a lot of pride. Everything was neat and clean. Neighbors stopped by to tell me how great everything looked and how professional Fred's team was. To top it off, my neighbor asked Fred, while he was doing the contracted work, if he would also look at replacing an old patio pad in the back. Fred's guys got that done too!

"Jamie and Raymone did an outstanding job leveling my sinking slab. All drilling and pumping was done in the grout area between my floor tiles. Not one tile was cracked. Holes were filled and dust was cleaned up. The whole first floor took about two hours. They worked very quickly and efficiently. They really knew what they were doing and did a fantastic job.
