"Basement Gurus arrived to discuss our basement water issue. Dan patiently went over everything and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. He prepared a proposal to remove 4' of our patio and dig down to the foundation to waterproof the wall and fill the cracks from outside. He also suggested burying a downspout and pipe leading water away from the house and sealing the wall cracks on the inside basement wall. The team arrived as scheduled and worked incredibly hard for several hours a day. They were impressive in the system they followed and how much work they performed each day and were respectful of us and our property. By the end of the job everything was back in place. We wish the expense wasn't necessary, but felt the price was worth it due to the difficulty, the amount, and the quality of the work. We highly recommend Basement Gurus!!"

"I signed up to have a modular log home built on an existing foundation. The builder had a number of specifications that needed to be met to get the foundation ready for the new house. I contacted 8 other companies, but no one could help me with my long list of tasks. When I finally got ahold of Highlander Waterproofing, I started by telling them I was a problem child. I listed all the work that needed to be done and Mike told me that nothing on my list sounded sounded scary. I got a couple of visits from Mario, the manager, and Mike, the senior engineer, and one of their senior job bosses. They were all knowledgeable, helpful, positive, and suggested that I use steel supports instead of concrete to save space. Work started in August when Dewey and JT started knocking off the top 2 courses of block. "The Gents" - Dewey (the job boss) Devon, Jimmy, Matt, and Dave - did wonderful work. Because of Murphy's Law, we had to knock some walls down and rebuild them because of bowing, and we ended up adding an internal French Drain. They set rebar, poured tons of concrete, dug footers, put up steel support beams, installed glass block windows, put down sill plates, and rebuilt the front where the garage doors will be. I cannot even begin to say how pleased I am with the work they did. And they were a lot of fun to boot! They let me video them daily, tease them mercilessly, and they had the good grace to laugh when my dog made off with their breakfast jerky. There is still some work to do when the house actually gets here in April - insulating the outside wall, backfilling, putting the sump pumps in, rebuilding the center wall, and digging footers for the porch. I have absolute confidence in Highlander Waterproofing and "The Gents." I would recommend them highly and with no reservations to anyone who needs foundation work. I will add to this post with the final pictures in April."

"Very professional crew, 4 trees removed,overall cleanout.of allroots,vines,leaves etc. Weed block applied then mulch. Removed existing poor grass,raked leveled the more weed block with river rock cover. Remaining lower track of grass removed replaced with sod Installed landscaping ties as border between rocks and sod. Suggested install of 3 arbivitae for privacy. Tom ,the owner very helpful, his entire crew dedicated,hard working polite men. Not only job well done. "Very happy we had Contek repair and remodel our living room. Started with a prompt visit by Corey and a detailed quote shortly after, and we then got on their schedule about 6 weeks later. Job consisted of removing and repairing a large area of the ceiling that was water damaged, removing a 9' picture window and also repairing water damage around that, refinishing that with two smaller double-hung windows, refinishing it all inside and outside, and lastly converting a standard small doored closet into an open mudroom closet. Dan managed the job and was nothing but a complete pleasure to work with. Shawn and crew did the vast majority of the work and were also a pleasure to work with. We did have a few finishing items we weren't initially satisfied with, but I'm only saying this because they made it very clear that they wanted us to be COMPLETELY satisfied, and to tell us of any concerns.
