"Purchased a 1906 home in North Portland with an uneven foundation that had been patched for 60 years, but needed serious stabilization work. I contacted multiple foundation contractors in the greater-Portland area and Ram Jack was the only team that provided a full worse-case estimate that included everything that I may need to permanently stabilize the home's foundation. Other contractors' estimates were higher, omitted some of the features of Ram Jack's estimate, and involved greater excavation work around the home. While I was collecting estimates, I had multiple contractors check the levels on the house and could see the home was continuing to sink as much as half and inch in some areas within only a few months, so I knew I had to do something soon as the hotter summers are causing significant erosion to the clay soil in north portland. After paying the 50% down payment, I was quickly in touch with multiple project managers and structural engineers who were able to answer my questions as the work plan developed. I work from home and have two cats, so I was a bit worried about the noise and needing to leave at certain times during the work. Ramjack devised a plan of installing 12 helical piers from the basement and 2 outside for a small crawl space area as well as replacing most of the piers in the basement that had water damage. During the excavation and pier installation, I didn't have to leave my house at all, my cats were fine, none of the utilities ever needed to be turned off and none of the neighbors said they heard more than the hum of the generator outside; insane professionalism. The work team kept me informed at every step of the excavation and pier installation and was able to recover an inch of lift with only a few drywall cracks that I patched in a day. I could have gone further, but wanted to avoid any potential damage to the sewer pipes and stay within my budget. During the lifting, I was standing with the lead construction manager who kept me informed of every risk as we lifted the house bit by bit. During the excavation my basement looked insane with mounds of dirt everywhere, but the construction team cleaned everything flawlessly; all I had to do was a quick mop and the basement was good as new again. Overall had a great experience with RamJack; the 20 years in business shows, most everyone I dealt with had been working with them for years; the construction manager had been doing pier installation for 15 years. The work was expensive, but cheaper than the other local contractors, and certainly way cheaper than replacing the entire basement foundation. Ramjack was even able to take a few grand off the intitial worse-case estimate for solutions not needed. Glad I was able to repair my 120 year old home; here's to another 100 years. "My wife and I hired Forest Landscape to remove our old rotted pressure treated retaining wall by our Koi pond and replace with natural black basalt rock. They also removed our wood raised garden walls and replaced with paver stone with a top cap. They also removed our badly installed basalt rock pathway that was loose and lifting up. The rock pathway was installed only three years ago by Cornerstone Hardscapes. Forest Landscapes installed a stamped concrete pathway where the basalt rock pathway was removed Jose and Rigo Castaneda were very professional to work with and there crew were real craftsman with attention to detail. They showed up on time and worked even on Saturday to finish project on time. We will hire them again for any future projects."

"I just had a addition on to my drive way into a carport and a patio slab w/ a stamp installed by Patrick and his team. Hands down the best and most professional contractor i have ever had to work on my house. He was prompt and on time for a quote, and something that i rarely see: he said he was going to be there at a time and do a specific thing, and he was there at that time and did exactly what he said. Really just blew me away with how professional and nice they were, both him and his team. He was very communicative with every step of the process, there was some weather delays so he contacted me and let me know that the pour would have to wait a couple days. The work looks fantastic and was exactly what i wanted, he even fixed a drain pipe that had a hole in it and the cleanup they did was far beyond any expectation. "I researched 4 companies to fully encapsulate a crawlspace damaged by flooding and rats. I also did a lot of research into possibly doing it myself so i knew what to look for. John's was the most expensive, but they were all in the same general ballpark. I was put off by some of the competitors marking insulation as "extra" and not including in their initial estimate. Insulation is required! John's costs a bit more but you get more too: John's insulated the entire floor with wrapped foam pads, dug a drain trench around the entire perimeter, jacked up every concrete pier to slide vapor barrier underneath the posts, and used proper mechanical fasteners on all of the wall insulation boards. Every nook and cranny was sealed with spray foam. The workers were amazing. They did not cut any corners. They nipped and tucked every tight little spot and never complained or made excuses. They built a plastic clean-tunnel every day and took it down down every afternoon. They did not leave behind trash. My crawlspace is clean enough to literally eat off the floor now. I would recommend John's if you want your job done correctly."

"Flintstone Hardscapes LLC removed an old rotten deck and framed and built a beautiful concrete patio in my back yard. The space was small and they had to remove part of a fence to get access.
