"At the end of March I called two foundation companies for estimates on repairing a new crack in the brick on the side of my home. The first was Hercules Foundation Repair and the second one was Pier Pro. Collin from Hercules came and measured and gave me his estimate. He was very professional and told me what needed to be done. Before he left my house, he told me that even if I chose a different company if I had any problems to feel free to call him. The next day Mike with Pier Pro came by. Against my better judgment I gave the job to Pier Pro. After the job was completed, I had new cracks down the back side of my house. I have two large cracks in the walls of my bedroom and the wall lifted a good half inch off the floor in my bathroom. I called Mike to come back and after looking at it said there was nothing wrong with my house. He said that he would put caulk in the space between the floor and wall and it would look good. It has been over three months and I havenâ t heard anything back from him. Last week I swallowed my pride and called Hercules. Allen answered and patiently listened to my problems and made an appointment to see what was done. His measurements showed that the floor of one bedroom was raised two inches too high and the other bedroom was one inch too high. His crew came two days later and FIXED it! I canâ t say how much I appreciate the kindness and compassion that Allen and his company has shown me. It is so hard to admit that you have been taken advantage of an having someone so willing to help make it right is priceless. "When you need foundation work done check for these things: - prior foundation work done on your house - ask the representative who comes in and takes the level readings how far off level is your foundation. When the representative came and took the readings on our house, he did not say how off level it was. All he said was the house was leaning bad on the right side. When the foundation team came to install the piers, I found out that the house was off level by 1/2 inch (ca. 5 cm)! I paid almost $13,000 to have the right side of the house lifted 1/4 inch (ca. 10 cm). And then come to find out when the foundation crew started digging, previous foundation work had already been done! - read, reread and reread the contract before you sign it! Ask any question no matter how stupid you may think it is! - make sure you have a 4-inch sewer clean out so a plumber hired by the foundation company can come in and do a PRE and post hydrostatic test. Any water leaks in your plumbing will void the contract! All plumbing issues are the homeowners financial responsibility to repair!"
