"Our project was actually a crawlspace encapsulation. We have a lake cabin that was built in the 1960's. It had a dirt floor in the crawlspace with bare block masonry foundation walls. It also had old, damp batt insulation that was falling down from the joist spaces. American Waterworks came in, removed the old insulation (a nasty job!), laid down a 2 layer moisture barrier system and spray foamed the foundation walls and rim joist area. I can't believe what a difference this has made to our air quality, much warmer floors. We used to have to wipe down the windows every morning during the winter because of condensation. Not any more! "Alfredo and crew did a ton of back-breaking work, the area didn’t allow lots of machine use, just sweat and labor. And, they were not afraid. (Previous bids/interviews wouldn’t touch it because of the need of hand labor) The crew understood what needed to be done and did not hesitate. Sometimes, a job needs hands on instead on reliance on mechanical assistance. His estimate was very reasonable versus large operation quick fix. If you’re looking for a good homeowner /contractor relationship, this is the answer. Wait times are minimal and work done quickly. My project was straight forward and he was able to successfully complete it a couple days. Don’t expect high pressure sales, just straight forward plan. My past experience with other concrete contractors was very disappointing. If you have a special project or even something straight forward, Alfredo’s company should be your first call.
