The basement now has potential to be nice area of use and living for years ahead. The service is a expensive purchase for homeowner but it is a needed purchase for my home. The finishing job leaves the need with more work if your basement floor was rough from the years of water damage. They did stop any future water damage for my home and it is safe to spend more for more fine finishing. They completed what was contracted."

"I had a great experience from start to finish. I had four different foundation companies look at the large crack in my foundation. Two said to put epoxy in it and I would be good. The third offered a slightly more involved fix that would not address the root of the problem. American Waterworks was different from the start. First of all, they book a three hour appointment so they can fully investigate, measure and explain exactly what is happening and what needs to be done to truly fix the problem. The level of knowledge and expertise shown by the the Design Specialist, Chuck, was astounding. He even predicted that there would be at least one if not two more cracks in the foundation we could not see and their location and he was right on both counts. I ended up needing 10 helical piers and 7 helical anchors to repair the foundation and stop it from rotating backwards toward the hill and to stabilize and lift the foundation back to its original position. The three man installation crew was incredible. Jose the Foreman, Luis the Co-Foreman, and Jose the Production Specialist were extremely hard working, knowledgeable and always willing to take time to answer any questions I had about the project. Their level of professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail put me at ease during such a major undertaking and I always knew my house was in good hands. I can not recommend American Waterworks enough to anyone needing their foundation repaired."

"We had a different landscaping company come out and install "flagstone" over our existing limestone path. Not only did they do a horrible job, they also destroyed our drain tile which I had flagged for them and left large ruts in our yard. It took them 6 weeks to come back and "fix" the path and "repair" the drain tile. The path looked even worse than it did before the "fix", I had to run the skid steer because the two guys they sent out did not know how to operate one, and they had to use drain tile I had on site because they didn't bring any. To top it off, when they replaced the drain tile, they didn't use a union on one end, and just set the pipe up next to the old pipe, and for some reason they took the sock off as if they did not understand what it was for! It was a complete nightmare. Enter Lester and his crew. They came out, and even though the stones were not the right material for a flagstone path, they were able to take them all out and reuse them to create a beautiful path. He raised our patio about an inch and a half, but had to stop before raising it higher, as he was concerned about the concrete cracking. I appreciated that he did not just continue the project. He did reduce the price quite significantly since he wasn't able to fully complete the job and the price was very fair."

"It's true: working with Hal is not like working with other contractors. With Hal, you are developing a relationship, not fulfilling the terms of a contract. For some that might be more than they want out of a contractor. For me, it was exactly what I needed. Example: I was talking with Hal about another matter when we both happened to notice some rotting boards on our deck. I thought it was unsightly, but nothing serious. Hal persuaded me that, without immediate attention, the rot would spread to the joists underneath, and what was a small problem now would be a big problem later. He replaced the deck boards on time and for the price he quoted. I can now rest assured I won't be plunging through the deck this summer. Along the way, Hal fixed some off-kilter gates in our yard, and also consulted with me about some stains on our stucco (thus managing to solve a problem that had stumped several other contractors). He's always on the end of the line when I have a home repair question. He's been there for me for some five years now. There's plenty of quality workers out there, but not many who will listen as well, contribute as much, and return as often as Hal Morris."
