"Basement Gurus arrived to discuss our basement water issue. Dan patiently went over everything and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. He prepared a proposal to remove 4' of our patio and dig down to the foundation to waterproof the wall and fill the cracks from outside. He also suggested burying a downspout and pipe leading water away from the house and sealing the wall cracks on the inside basement wall. The team arrived as scheduled and worked incredibly hard for several hours a day. They were impressive in the system they followed and how much work they performed each day and were respectful of us and our property. By the end of the job everything was back in place. We wish the expense wasn't necessary, but felt the price was worth it due to the difficulty, the amount, and the quality of the work. We highly recommend Basement Gurus!!"

We were fortunate enough to have Mitch Welliver assigned to our inspection! He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and thorough in describing his findings and providing us with some options. While here, I asked if they also installed sump pumps and, although this last minute ask likely made his visit to your home that much longer, he handled it like a true professional and never made us feel like it was an inconvenience. "I signed up to have a modular log home built on an existing foundation. The builder had a number of specifications that needed to be met to get the foundation ready for the new house. I contacted 8 other companies, but no one could help me with my long list of tasks. When I finally got ahold of Highlander Waterproofing, I started by telling them I was a problem child. I listed all the work that needed to be done and Mike told me that nothing on my list sounded sounded scary. I got a couple of visits from Mario, the manager, and Mike, the senior engineer, and one of their senior job bosses. They were all knowledgeable, helpful, positive, and suggested that I use steel supports instead of concrete to save space. Work started in August when Dewey and JT started knocking off the top 2 courses of block. "The Gents" - Dewey (the job boss) Devon, Jimmy, Matt, and Dave - did wonderful work. Because of Murphy's Law, we had to knock some walls down and rebuild them because of bowing, and we ended up adding an internal French Drain. They set rebar, poured tons of concrete, dug footers, put up steel support beams, installed glass block windows, put down sill plates, and rebuilt the front where the garage doors will be. I cannot even begin to say how pleased I am with the work they did. And they were a lot of fun to boot! They let me video them daily, tease them mercilessly, and they had the good grace to laugh when my dog made off with their breakfast jerky. There is still some work to do when the house actually gets here in April - insulating the outside wall, backfilling, putting the sump pumps in, rebuilding the center wall, and digging footers for the porch. I have absolute confidence in Highlander Waterproofing and "The Gents." I would recommend them highly and with no reservations to anyone who needs foundation work. I will add to this post with the final pictures in April."

"Excellent job repairing a crack in our poured concrete basement wall. Had to dig down to the bottom of the foundation, seal the crack, and back fill the hole - clean up was so good you didn't know work was even done. Very satisfied with the initial estimator, the job foreman, and the crew. The price was competitive with other estimates we received. Would recommend this company."

"This was a very involved plaster repair and remediation job, in a very old house. Grady is the only person (or company) who was willing to take on the job and drive all the way from Pennsylvania to our home in Northern Virginia. There are very few people who do this kind of work anymore (we really searched) and he is an expert in his field. We needed to work around his schedule, because he is in demand in the tri-state area, so it took awhile to schedule the work to begin... but it was worth it."
