"My main reason for hiring them was they could do the work on a specific day (Fri) that week and I knew I had no plans. Plus they had other good ratings. They also promised a 1 day job. With other companies I knew I was going to have to do more planning around schedules. They even gave me a discount because they had a hole in their schedule. They never showed up on Fri and did not call (office staff issues). I called and we rescheduled for Monday, they showed up late (new truck hit an overpass), and did not finish that day. When they did show up, the lead guy looked at the job and completely re-engineered it. He was hyper and a bit scattered in his thoughts. It turned out he was the owner but I did not know at the time. I had extreme reservations but was on the hook schedule wise and did not want to start all over again so let them do the work. On day 2 the owner's brother showed up to finish the job and he told me he would not have done what the workers did the day before to patch the crack in the foundation. I think the work was eventually good and have had no leaks, but it was quite an experience."

"I was having some issues with water coming into the basement through the foundation and walls during rainy weather. Not flooding, or even shop vac-able volumes, just enough to be annoying and require mopping. Dominic and his crew were here today to install an under-floor drainage system and a new sump pump. I was dreading the demo (I have a concrete floor) and the mess involved, but these guys came prepared for everything! They used dust abatement measures to protect all my basement-stored items, and they removed and hauled all the debris away when finished with the excavation. What really impressed me was the concrete restoration upon completion. I've previously had a sewer line replaced through the basement floor, and the contractor really "botched" the floor repair. I can't describe how different this experience was! The concrete installed today is immaculate! Dominic takes pride in his work and with good reason! The new concrete is perfect! I am thrilled!"

"Mike and his crew took three days for this job which requires excavation, ground preparation, regrading, concreting in a six-footer berm of cobblestones, paving, sealing, and seeding of affected lawn. They came early, began promptly when township ordinances permitted, and worked as an efficient, highly coordinated team. They always consulted us for our opinions as the project went on to make sure that each step met our approval. Health professionals should show such ongoing concern and bedside manner. We were extremely satisfied."

"Basement Gurus arrived to discuss our basement water issue. Dan patiently went over everything and listened to our concerns and answered our questions. He prepared a proposal to remove 4' of our patio and dig down to the foundation to waterproof the wall and fill the cracks from outside. He also suggested burying a downspout and pipe leading water away from the house and sealing the wall cracks on the inside basement wall. The team arrived as scheduled and worked incredibly hard for several hours a day. They were impressive in the system they followed and how much work they performed each day and were respectful of us and our property. By the end of the job everything was back in place. "We had a French drain installed in our basement, along with two sump pumps. From what I can tell, the work was performed correctly and to the specifications outlined in the contract. I found Shawn, the owner, to be responsive, helpful, and pleasant to deal with. Overall, the crew that installed the trench and sumps arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed the job in 3 days, leaving a clean basement behind. For the sake of fair balance, I will detail two issues in the service I received. The first had to do with the condition of my footer when the trench was dug. As they were digging, I noted that in one section of the wall, the footer appeared have been damaged by their jack hammering. Upon calling Shawn about this issue and sending him pictures of the damage, he stated that it was related to how large the footer was and how the footer was poured when the house was built. He also assured me that the footer was in good condition and the part they chipped away was not load bearing and had no impact on the structural integrity of the foundation. This seemed to be a reasonable explanation so I thought nothing of it. The second issue had to do with cracks in the basement floor. Before the work was started, there were one or two visible cracks in the floor. Yet, after their work was complete there were well over a dozen visible cracks. Upon calling Shawn again, he stated that his jackhammers could not have caused that damage and there might have been smaller cracks that got larger when they began working. I do not have photographic proof to dispute this explanation so I can only cite my memory regarding the condition of the basement floor; however, in combination with the first issue it makes me wonder how much care was taken when they dug the trench. Not being structural engineer or having photographic proof, I can not refute the explanations given to me, but my advice to others would be to photographically document the condition of your basement prior to getting work done and carefully watch the work being performed."
