The workmen did a very nice job making a level walkway to my backyard and gazebo and installed a nice little patio out side the gazebo. My walkway leading to my front door needed to be level and they were able to make it look like new. The workmen were pleasant and eager to please and I especially appreciated how nice they cleaned up the work area at the end of each day. Jamie was here everyday to inspect the work and address any concerns that we may have had. I would enthusiastically recommend this company for any of your landscape needs. "Backyard Ponds is magic. I have a small backyard pond,stream and waterfall that have been
leaking for years. Various workmen had poured concrete into it, slathered mortar
between stones and sprayed special waterfall foam all over the sides of it. My
pond, stream and waterfall continued to leak. Hilary of Backyard Ponds looked at it for a while, moved one
stone and fixed the leak. How did you do that! I yelled. Well after you work on
enough of these things you get an eye for what the problem could be. Then she
vacuumed all the mud that had been clogging the pum , reattached the waterline
and pump that I could never get to stay together, restacked the rocks along the
edge of the stream so they actually sat on top of each other instead of sliding
down at all angles, and added a few strategically placed rocks to hide the pump
and waterline and cover the rubber sides of the stream. She added a regulator to
the water line so I could make the water run fast and slow. And more. I have had
a pond and stream for fifteen years, and many people have worked on it, from
expensive professioanl landscapers to guys I would swear the contractor picked
up off the street corner. The difference in using someone who specializes in
ponds is stunning. Backyard ponds is
magic.

"They called Miss Utility and had the ground marked for the utility wire locations. They showed up as scheduled on a Thursday, removed the rotting wood beams. Each afternoon when they left, they covered the open area with tough plastic to keep things from washing away during thunderstorms. They came back each weekday, rebuilt the support structure, replaced all of the border wood beams, leveled the slates and power-washed the entire patio. They had to temporarily remove part of a fence in order to reach all of the wood beams that needed to be replaced, but they put the fence back carefully and neatly. They came back and filled in the places between the slates that had been dirt (which was power washed away) with light gravel. They finished up, neatening the dirt that had been moved around, including on my neighbor's side of the fence, on the following Thursday afternoon. They moved my patio furniture back into my preferred positions and I told them it looks as if I have a completely new patio!

"Working with Mike (the owner), Jose (the lead craftsman) and Angel (his skilled assistant) was an absolute pleasure.  Mike is a very knowledgeable and nice person.  He responded well to all of our questions and concerns, and educated us about the intricacies of stone work.  He made sure that we understood precisely what to expect on this project.  Jose is an exceptional artist.  He has a great eye for setting stone and for details that make a difference.  For example, he shaped the end of the walkway as it met the stoop in a way that makes it quite aesthetically pleasing.  Moreover, we had not even thought of this or asked for it.  Both Jose and Angel did exceptional work in selecting and arranging both the flagstone (pavers) and the fieldstone (which went on the risers.  The result in front and on the side is exceptional.  The side was a half moon, and Jose and Angel cut and arranged the stone perfectly.  Moreover, both of these highly skilled men were very pleasant to work with.  They always showed up promptly and cleaned up very carefully every day.  We were thoroughly impressed with their total professionalism, and would use them again in any future projects. Mike clearly takes pride in his company's work.  He stopped by to make sure that we were happy with the finished project.  Not only did we tell him that this was a very positive experience with Maxsell, but told him that we would definitely call him for any future stone work."

"Plumber they scheduled was on time, in identifying uniform, professional and did a great job. I was hoping a bigger issue didn't exist as the sink was backing up/ not draining water for several weeks. He also had the correct replacement part in his marked truck. Scheduling was efficient and faster than expected. Just thought the price was rather high for the work being asked done. I asked for the free estimate, and discovered price lists are established by company only once the plumber was onsite. Unfortunately, trying to get anyone else's opinion on such a small job was proving difficult because the risk of not doing the work once on site is not something that many will bother with doing in person.
