"Daniel not only turned the unit on, he checked the Co2 levels in the house and found they were high. I had been baking and the oven was on while he ran the test. He suggested I turn on the exhaust fan then tested again and the levels went to an acceptable level. I usually only use the hood exhaust fan when things I'm cooking on the range something smokey but I learned I need to use it  whenever I use the oven. He then checked our carbon monoxide monitor to make sure it was functioning properly. It was but he said it wasn't as sensitive as the meter he used.
I will call and check with our range installer to make sure everything was done properly but I would have never thought to check it
before this. Daniel was willing to answer all our questions and help us with something (our stove) which was not part of the heating/cooling package.

"We had many issues with our computer - primarily with the CD/DVD drive and iTunes. Jim eliminated over 700 viruses from our computer, which was just the beginning. There continued to be problems within the systems of the computer. Luckily Jim charges by the job and not by the hour because he worked a LONG time to make it all work.  He kept in touch with me and addressed each issue as it arose until the job was done.  He was professional and courteous and hung in there until I was satisfied he had addressed everything. I would highly recommend Jim and will definitely use his services in the future, as needed.

"This is actually the third time I've used these folks. EVERYONE can be counted on for their professionalism, care, and keeping of promises, which are all huge in the choice of such a company. Pair those with reasonable prices and decent scheduling windows and they have become my permanent go-to movers. But as always, I get several bids from multiple companies to compare. And still, they won again. :)
This last move was a bit trickier than the other ones as I was originally quoted for moving from Phoenix to the Los Angeles area. The plan was to wrap, move, and store my things until I called for them in CA in a few months. The introductory deal of two month's free (vaulted and climate-controlled) storage made my decision a bit easier. I have to say I was a very nervous about storage at all as I had NEVER done it before. I'd done self storage years ago, but never just let people take my possessions and let them store them for me without my supervision. But considering my past great experiences and their meticulous nature at this place, I thought I'd give it a shot. Anthony, a moving pro himself (not just a sales guy like many other companies send) and foreman, came to do the quote. Annabel in scheduling was amazing. She worked with me to make sure all the many moving parts of such a big move were spelled out. I'm very particular about details and the handling of my items, so had a zillion questions. Annabel answered them all patiently and completely.
As usual, the three guys (this time Fallon, Jose, and Anthony) showed up right on time, ready to go. My being organized helped, but I know that even if I wasn't, the guys wouldn't have flinched over it. They blanket-wrapped and shrink-wrapped each piece of furniture with great efficiency and yet great care. Since this time my things would be going into storage, Anthony kept a running inventory of each piece and box. Each item would be tagged at the warehouse with a number and accounted for. Nice. All was loaded into the truck, no issues, and taken back to the warehouse and put into vaults, with my final inventory emailed to me.
Well, then plans changed after a few weeks, and it turned into a local move. Annabel was not phased and said that whatever I wanted to do would be fine, with them adjusting the fees accordingly. Life can be weird, and that kind of flexibility is priceless!
The guys (this time Anthony, Fallon, and Oscar) showed up at my new place in Phoenix with all my items intact and ready to move. It's important to note that the first half of the move was from a single-level house. The delivery of my things, however, was to a totally upstairs condo! (Garage is the first floor, then living areas are all second level.) So, every item had to go up a full flight of stairs, without damaging the stair well. Without damaging the carpeted stairs. In the Phoenix heat. For three hours. Yikes, right? Not for the guys. I have NEVER yet heard them complain about anything (on any job I've used them for).
Anthony and then Fallon ticked off each item from the master inventory list as it came up. All was accounted for and everything made it intact. The only thing that was slightly damaged was a art glass lamp shade that was made with a rubberized joint compound. In the heat, the pieces had moved, but that's Phoenix. And when I unpacked one box, I found that a canvas painting I had packed myself got stretched out by my choosing to put a large glass vase next to it. (I packed all my own boxes.) Ugh. So, lesson to all; pack your canvas paintings separately! The heat will cause things to flex more than usual. Lesson learned!
So, although this time was different and trickier, everyone came through per usual and all went great. Apparently, they impressed my new neighbors as well. Yesterday, I was approached; "Who were those guys? They really hustled!" and also "They seem like a stand-up group. Not a shady one in the bunch." lol Yep, they are. And nope, they don't hire shady types. I just hope they never sell this company to a larger mover. The personal service of the company is a big part of what works.
Does attitude matter to you? Well, from Vern at the office, to the guys in the field, to Charles the owner, to Annabel in scheduling I have never gotten an eye roll or curt attitude. Not one time. And believe me, there are times when I probably have one coming. lol Personally, I don't think I'd have the patience to do what they do. Too mentally and physically stressful for me. But then, that's why I hired them in the first place. Highly recommend!

"The furnace is functioning properly! However it was discovered that the air conditioning fan did not come on and it caused an error in the thermostat and shut down the system. The repairman got the fan going but when he left the same system malfunction happened again! In talking with the repairman, he needs a day that is warm to be able to perform diagnostic tests. It does not look like we will have warm enough weather for at least 2 to 3 weeks!!"

"Called warranty repair, found out that it was done by a local provider (Flori Heating and Air). I called Flori to schedule an appointment, they were here on time and got things back up, running and cooling. Since it was 95 outside, I appreciated their sense of urgency and calm professionalism, not to mention the quick return of cold air coming out of my vents!"

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Chinle, AZ

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
