"Bought coupon on 3/8/14.  Received message Monday 3/10 scheduled for Friday 3/14 between nine and twelve.  Richard arrived just after 11:15 and went right to work on the unit.  129.00 coupon is for yearly servicing for both the A/C and the furnace, well worth the price.  I will recommend to my neighbors.

Update 11/16/14.  Still haven't heard from Trusted about furnace service.  When I bought the coupon back in March and asked Richard about setting up an appointment for November he stated that they would call me in the fall to set up furnace service, well its supposed to get cold tonight [36º] and a week before T-Day.  If I have to call them to remind them about their obligation to finish their service contract thenI need to downgrade my rating."

"Based on our experiences, we wouldn?t hesitate to recommend Goettl?s High Desert Mechanical to our friends and neighbors.  This is a local, family owned company.
We first used them in 2013, when they installed an air conditioner and new furnace in our Sedona home.  We purchased a high efficiency gas furnace that vents directly outside.  The Goettl?s workers were pleasant, very neat, quiet, and quick.  They managed to retain our access to our existing evaporative cooler which we use most of the year except during monsoon season.  When a workman?s electrical error in the air conditioner install became apparent, Goettl?s management immediately stepped in to remedy the problem.
In 2014 we used Goettl?s again, to build a return chase, and seal ducts in our 1985 HVAC system.  Their work on this project was exemplary.  We feel very lucky that we used Goettl?s for this repair.  We had just discovered that the original return duct going down to the garage furnace room had never been completed; it was wide open to the studs and insulation batting.  Dustin, son of one of the two brothers who own this company, came out to price the job.  He confirmed that not only was the duct wide open, but also discovered that the vents for both the original 1985 gas furnace and gas hot water heater terminated in the HVAC return.  Had our house been more completely sealed, there was a strong possibility that carbon monoxide could have come into the bedrooms where the returns were located.
Dustin and his cousin Luke replaced our hot water heater with an electric one and had to open the walls to remove the now obsolete vents and retrofit a return duct for us - from the inside.  This required Dustin?s standing inside the wall chase in a confined space for one and a half days on scaffolding of his own design, which he did without complaint.
In this same time frame, Goettl?s installed vents between rooms to balance out the air flow in our home, which had had some rooms constantly warmer and some cooler.  They aerosealed the entire HVAC system, reducing our air loss to less than 1%.  The aerosealing is a quick new method to seal tiny cracks or seam openings throughout the system.  It only took a couple of hours from start to finish.  Now, our whole house remains at the same constant temperature we set.  We were pleasantly surprised at what a large difference it has made this summer in both comfort and noise reduction.
Both Dustin and Luke were very personable, quiet, competent and knowledgeable about the industry, the options for HVAC systems and the code requirements.  They were a pleasure to have in our home.
We wouldn?t hesitate to recommend Goettl?s High Desert Mechanical to our friends and neighbors.

"We had many issues with our computer - primarily with the CD/DVD drive and iTunes. Jim eliminated over 700 viruses from our computer, which was just the beginning. There continued to be problems within the systems of the computer. Luckily Jim charges by the job and not by the hour because he worked a LONG time to make it all work.  He kept in touch with me and addressed each issue as it arose until the job was done.  He was professional and courteous and hung in there until I was satisfied he had addressed everything. I would highly recommend Jim and will definitely use his services in the future, as needed.

"Excellent! They were on time to start and worked consistantly through 110+ degree heat. Jose, Andy and Malik were careful with our furniture and were pleasant to spend a long hard day with. They did everything we asked and went out of their way to expedite the move and save some time and money. I would absolutely use them again and reccomend them to friends.

"The Technician seem to know his job and seems very experienced in it. He explained why the furnace was not allowing heat to through. There was a part that had to be checked every few years and cleaned. And he did it put the back inside the furnace and the heat started."

FAQs for furnace / forced air heating system install or replace projects in Heber, AZ

Converting from an oil furnace to an electric furnace isn't a simple swap—the oil system needs to be completely removed before installing the electric furnace. You'll need a full electric system installation, but you might be able to reuse existing ductwork if it's up to current safety standards. You’ll need to budget for a new electric furnace installation, which costs between $1,800 and $6,200, including professional removal, proper disposal, and safe installation of the new system.

Electric furnaces are 100% efficient at converting electricity into heat. However, some of that heat can be lost as it travels through your home's ductwork or escapes through poorly insulated areas. That's why regular duct maintenance and proper home insulation are important to maximize your furnace's efficiency and reduce heat loss, ensuring consistent warmth and lower energy costs.

With proper maintenance, an electric furnace can last anywhere from 20 to 30 years, outlasting the average gas furnace's lifespan of 15 to 20 years. To keep your electric furnace running efficiently, schedule regular cleanings, tighten connections, and have inspections done before winter arrives. With routine maintenance, you’ll ensure consistent, safe heating for years to come.

The size of the electric furnace you need depends on factors like your home's square footage, climate, and insulation quality. As a general guideline, those who live in warmer climates should multiply their square footage by 30 to 35 BTUs, while those in cooler areas should multiply it by 50 to 60 BTUs.

Consulting with an HVAC professional can help you determine the exact size that's right for your home.

An electric furnace works by converting electricity into heat using high-resistance heating elements. A blower then pushes the warm air through your home's ductwork, distributing heat evenly throughout your space. Since there's no combustion involved, electric furnaces eliminate the risks associated with gas furnaces and provide consistent, reliable heating when properly installed.

An electric furnace uses between 40 and 80 kilowatts per day to heat your home. The exact amount it uses depends on factors like your home's size, insulation, and overall energy requirements. Larger homes or those with poor insulation use more energy than smaller, well-insulated spaces. A professional furnace assessment can help confirm the ideal unit size for your needs.
