"In 2020, Pre-COVID-19, my wife and I were looking to have our worn out gutters replaced on our home. After consulting with three different companies, American Home Contractors seemed to be the best choice. At that time, John Roda was the Project Coordinator who provided the appraisal. John had several qualities that stood out among the rest. 1. John was personable. 2. John was knowledgeable. 3. John was professional. Due to COVID-19, our plans were put on hold for close to a year. Once we were comfortable with revisiting our home improvement projects, we reached back out to John. Surprisingly, he had kept our information, and although he had an appointment that day, he made time to stop by to conduct another appraisal (personable). He provided visual aids to show what our options were, and made recommendations based on the benefits of upgrading, our needs, and most important.....our budget (knowledgeable). After signing the contract, John managed our calls in a timely manner, researched our inquiries, and conducted follow-ups to ensure that the work performed was up to American Home Contractor standards (professional). We were completely satisfied with the overall end product and quality of service provided throughout our contract. I spoke highly of John because he represented American Home Contractors better than we expected, and that's hard to find today when seeking honest businesses to contract with. "We hired Green Studio Builders to build a two-story addition on our home. The addition included a master bedroom suite, a kitchen, and a renovation of the existing space to match the new part. We also ended up digging the basement under the addition but have yet to finish it. We interviewed six builders for the job. Chris (owner) was by far the most realistic about time and money. Most were saying the job would take around 4 months. Chris said 6. He finished in 5. Chris does design/build. We already had architectural drawings done in advance but the first step Chris took with us was to improve them. Chris assigned us a foreman, who we had day to day contact with. The communication was great, the workers always respectful and the job site was cleaned up daily. We have two young children and we lived in the house throughout the construction. The team made sure to time the job appropriately to lessen the impact on our lives. For instance, they moved us out of the upstairs and worked up there through completion and then moved us back up there and worked downstairs. When it was time to demolish our existing kitchen we got plenty of warning as they prepped the area and worked with the cabinet makers on the delivery date to leave us as short a time as possible without a kitchen. We were amazed that we were without a kitchen for only three weeks as we have heard horror stories about kitchen renovations from our friends. Chris's team worked six days a week, every week. All of the workers are his employees with the exception of the plumber and the electrician, who were subs that he uses on a regular basis. The process was fairly seamless on our end. They worked with the county for inspections and allowed us the peace of mind to live life as (somewhat) normal for the duration. Another huge perk of GSB is that Chris's wife, Nicoletta, who also works for the company, helps with the interior design. She helped us select tile, paint, and fixtures that would match our style and she has an excellent eye. All in all, we were extremely pleased with the company, the process, and the final product! The work is top notch and we are constantly showing it off to friends (who are equally impressed). We will certainly hire GSB again when we are ready to finish our basement. Chris and Nicoletta are wonderful people and run a top notch company with excellent skills and service.

"This is the second time we have used Virginia Home Remodel, and both times the work has been excellent. They took all of the old material out right down to the studs. They put in a new cement floor for the shower, all new walls for the shower, and extended the shower nearly a foot. We picked out the tile which they installed perfectly, including a recessed space on the shower wall. We provided a semi-frameless glass shower door which they installed flawlessly. They installed new tile on the bathroom floor, which resembles hardwood. They supplied a new vanity with a granite countertop and backsplashes, which harmonized with the tile. We provided, and they installed a LED lighted mirror with a dimmer and a de-fogger, which works great. Finally, we supplied, and they installed a barn door with wood and translucent panels, all of which made the bathroom look and feel much brighter, bigger, and more modern. The price was very reasonable, and the quality was extraordinary. Three years ago, we hired the same contractor to remodel the second bathroom, and they did the same level of outstanding work. We have plans for another project soon. These are great folks to work with."

"Let me say 1st how very patient Daniel was with the decision of doing major remodeling and renovation to my parents home. After my Dad passed away My mom was very interested in changing the look of the because it reminded her so much of my dad. We talked to Daniel for an entire year. Daniel stopped by each time we had questions and concerns. When my mother had questions he took the time to make sure she knew who he was and while they did the worked in the house they made certain that those who worked for him were held accountable for making sure that the home was secure when they left for the day. The Home was Built-in 1938. We wanted the craftsmanship of the home to stay intact while updating the aesthetics of the home and doing major renovation to the kitchen in bathroom area. The work and workmanship was impeccable. Daniel and his team took into consideration everything we wanted. They incorporated a new vibrant upper scaled remodel. They did that and so much more. I would definitely use them again and recommend them highly to others."
