The finished job was very well done at a fair and reasonable price. The crew was on time, knew what they were doing, and completed the work as scheduled and as promised. "Highly recommend. Gil the owner was very patient and accommodating with our project of a new roof. We had to keep rescheduling do to having to have our solar system removed prior to starting the roof and unbeknownst to us, the company was entering bankruptcy and was putting us off for 2 months as we waited with leaks through all the rain due to their financial situation. Originally the solar company installed the system on a roof that should have been replaced prior so they were responsible to have removed on their dime. As soon as we knew the date, they were on it. Getting the required permit & pre-inspection. They started the day after it was removed and finished the roof in the exact amount of days quoted. The solar contractors left all of the brackets on the roof and the wiring which was to have been removed since we got a really bad taste of their service and decided to not to have it put back on. Gil was great about removing everything and still held to the original quote. Can't beat that! And the inspector came to sign off and said his company did a very nice job. We actually received a lower quote but the quote wasn't as detailed in what the scope of work was to be done. Always remember that you usually get what you pay for and usually the cheapest is not the one to go with."

"Based on Angie's List reviews, I chose L.A. Custom Tile to contact regarding my small tile project.  Within a few hours after sending an email through Angie's List on April 12th, Mark responded to my email and requested that I call him for an appointment.  Two days later, on April 14th, Mark came to my house to discuss the project.  I knew the look I wanted for the front porch and steps was that of wood plank flooring but I wasn't sure if the porcelain plank "wood look" tiles could be installed over the existing brick and mortar.  I showed Mark the sample of tile that I wanted to install and he assured me that he could do the work and it would look beautiful.  With that assurance, I made my final decision on the tile and emailed Mark on May 14th with the specifications - thickness, width, edges, bullnose and heights available.  We decided that the 8" height would work best.  Mark came to my house again to take final measurements for the amount of 8" and bullnose tiles and grout to order.
Once the product was purchased and I was ready to proceed, Mark and I set up an appointment for the installation.  He arrived promptly and worked diligently over the course of three days, always cleaning the area before leaving.  He is professional, respectful and takes pride in his workmanship, which is exceptional.  Mark has an engaging personality and is a pleasure to have around.  The final result of my "wood look" porch and steps exceeded my expectations.  Mark loved it so much he said he wished he could take it home with him!  I have had numerous compliments and everyone thinks it is actually wood.  Mark has great attention to detail and is a true artist and perfectionist.  I live in a 60-year old house with three bathrooms that need remodeling and I'm looking forward to working with Mark on those projects in the near future.  I highly recommend Mark!  His pricing is fair and the quality of his workmanship is the BEST!  I NOMINATE L.A. "Gary came to our home and was generous with his time in discussing the options for protecting our new redwood fence from the elements while allowing the natural grain of the wood to show through.  We originally had a different brand of stain in mind, but Gary strongly recommended another company's product.  We are very glad he did, now that we have seen the excellent results.  Gary and a helper worked well together to complete the job on a very warm and dry day.  Only very skilled painters could have completed this project and achieved the great results they did, given how quickly this type of acrylic stain tends to dry.  We wouldn't hesitate to use GK Painting again for other painting or staining needs, and would certainly feel comfortable recommending them to friends and neighbors.
