"I called the number. The person confirmed the appointment. The plumber was at the location at the precise time, inspected. Called me for the expected expense, we agreed over the phone. He got paid via Visa card and did the job. All done so professionally. Can't get better. I think he was little high in price but because its 5 degree F outside, its OK for one job."

"These guys are legit. They know what they are doing. I have a 100+ year old house. Needless to say the situation was complex with no documentation to assist them in finding sewer lines, vents, cleanouts, etc. They resolved the problem and solved a bunch of others in the process I’d given up on ever being resolved without just replacing the entire drainage system and which had flummoxed everyone else I’ve used in the past including some very highly rated plumbers. If you are looking for a plumber, you can stop now. These are the guys for you."

"I received exceptional service from 2 Guys Plumbing and heating, marked by technicians who were punctual, courteous, and efficient, effectively addressing all my concerns, which resulted in extreme satisfaction and a high recommendation. We even had them come back to put in new toilets, new pipes in laundry room, add utility sink, and fix outside faucet. Wish I had known about them sooner! "Bottom line: I highly recommend Don Volkert and will be rehiring him and his crew for our future remodeling jobs. When Don came out to quote my bathroom remodeling project, I knew he would be our contractor. Of the three companies that quoted us, Don had the most original and creative idea for our master bathroom while still being within our budget. He gave us great contacts for sourcing our tile and furnishings, and in early July 2019, the project began. Every house has quirks, and ours was no exception. Don dealt with these unexpected finds - like old pipes and bad valves - in a straightforward, quality-oriented way. Throughout the project, I had full confidence that Don would fix any issues that would cause us trouble down the road. He was committed to doing the job correctly, and the ease of mind that provided was priceless. His crew is small, but they work hard and were respectful of our space and our schedules. Though we had not included small bedroom renovations (installation of a ceiling fan and recessed lights) in the original quote, Don was flexible enough to perform this additional work for us at a reasonable rate. After we thought the job had finished, we found that the plumbing had backed up into our basement because the old, corroded, cast-iron pipes had not been used for several weeks. Well, Don fixed that, too; he installed a new section of pipe, cleaned out the clog, and repaired the buckling floor tile caused by the overflow. Don gave us a master bathroom that I never could have imagined, and I'm excited to have him back for our next home renovation project!"

"Mr. Miller (Bobby) is a great guy and as well a talented plumber. I’ve known him for at least 20 years now and I wouldn’t think to call a different plumber. He’s on time and responsible. He knows what he’s doing so that with some of these &0-90 year old houses you get someone who can make old and modern repairs. He’s neat and cleans up after himself. He’s also honest and will tell you the truth about what you may or may not need. His prices are competitive. I strongly recommend him to anyone who needs a good plumber. I’ll be calling him again soon for some more work I need to have done."
Schedule a plumbing inspection every one to two years to ensure your system is in good working order. Regular inspections can help you catch minor issues before they become costly problems, like major water damage repairs. You should also consider a plumbing inspection when buying or selling a home or if you notice signs of a plumbing issue. Staying proactive with maintenance can save you money and stress in the long run.
A plumbing inspection for a standard one-story to two-story home takes between two and three hours. For larger residences, historic homes, or rental complexes, a complete inspection requires a full-day commitment of eight hours. However, this does not account for any necessary repairs that your plumber might find, so it’s best to set aside additional time during the inspection in case an unexpected repair comes up.
When built with quality materials, your plumbing system endures for decades. CPVC, brass, iron, and steel provide reliable service for 50 to 70 years, while copper extends durability up to 100 years, and PEX maintains performance for 80 to 100 years. Maintaining this system with regular inspections and prompt repairs guarantees long-term efficiency.
You should repipe your home when your plumbing exceeds its expected lifespan or uses hazardous materials like lead, polybutylene, or galvanized steel. Persistent leaks, corrosion, and compromised water quality signal that your existing piping no longer meets safety standards. Repiping eliminates potential health risks and prevents extensive water damage.
