"Summary: beware of this company. They will make verbal commitments that they will not honor. For the prices they charge, this should have all been super smooth. Initial install was left incomplete after 2 full days when I was told install would take 1-2 days. The initial salesman didn't think my HVAC vent would be in the way of the vanity but it was so install was left incomplete. They sent out an HVAC company after I called multiple times trying to get them scheduled. The HVAC company closed current vent and created a new one. However, they introduced a pipe leak, which as of this writing, has been actively leaking for more than a week. I have been in the process of trying to get the leak fixed and have had to speak to multiple people, none of which seemed to have any effect. I finally was able to get the installers to schedule a date to finish the incomplete portions of job, but it's a month after initial install date. As of this writing, I'm not sure how that will go."

"The equipment was delivered promptly, and the installers arrived shortly after. Chris Hardin and Anthony were the installers. They were very experienced, well trained, knowledgeable, and did top quality work. Both were polite, personable, and treated me with respect. I tend to be a perfectionist and must say if I would have had the skills to do this job myself, I could not have done any better. I have never seen such good quality for any heating and air conditioner replacement in other homes I have owned. In addition to replacing the furnace and air conditioner units, some other items that were replaced were: suction and liquid lines, the exterior breaker box, condenser pad, furnace vent, insert in the vent going up the chimney, and the condensation pump and hose. The old furnace was situated such that there was not much room to change the air filter and perform maintenance. The new furnace was repositioned to eliminate that problem. This involved rerouting the electrical cable to the furnace switch and partially extending the gas line. My previous coil was never a tight fit over the furnace and therefore, cool and warm air escaped. Special care was taken to tightly mount the new coil and thoroughly seal it with silicone. Some insulation was even used around ducts nearby. All the old equipment, including the condenser pad, was hauled away. The work area was cleaned up well after completion."

Repiping is worth it if you're experiencing plumbing issues like low water pressure, discolored water, slow drainage, or leaks. While repiping doesn't significantly increase home value, it's essential for ensuring a reliable plumbing system.
Many plumbers prefer PEX because it doesn't corrode, resists sediment buildup, and is less likely to burst in freezing weather. It's also flexible and easier to install. However, copper pipes are more durable but come with higher upfront costs.
The time it takes to repipe a house mostly depends on the size of the project. For a small home with just a handful of fixtures, an entire repiping project could take just a couple of days. On the other hand, repiping a large, multi-story home with several bathrooms could take weeks to complete.
Certain changes in your water supply can point to a need for repiping. Persistent leaks, clogged drains, reduced water pressure, visible corrosion, discolored water, odd tastes, or musty odors are signs your pipes may need replacing.
During a house repiping, contractors will prepare your home by covering furniture and floors. They'll access pipes through walls, ceilings, or floors, temporarily shutting off water while maintaining limited functionality in one area.
