We didn't know exactly where our tank was located, and after probing around for a good 15-20 minutes we decided to use the tracking device. Well worth it, because it allowed him to locate it accurately and immediately. He only had to dig around a 2 x 2' hole to pop the lid off, pump it out, replace lid and cover it back up.
