They are the first crew to properly dig and refill the large hole, extracting and replacing the sod carefully and perfectly. No one has come close to their diligence and efficiency. I was offered great advice regarding the maintenance of my septic tank and septic field. I have never written a review like this before, but I felt the need to tell others to USE THIS COMPANY. "Joe Ginger is the real deal. I live out in Cumberland on a well, and both my water compressor and well pump went bad. Commonwealth Plumbing was out to investigate the issue quickly yesterday. Joe estimated that he'd need to replace both the pump and compressor at significant expense (to me, anyway), and he came back this morning prepared to do that. After getting further into his investigation, though, Joe let me know that he could save both elements. His honesty saved me 75% of the original quote. Joe could have gone through with the job as he'd quoted it, which I accepted, but he was honest and gave up revenue in the interest of sleeping well at night. Joe was courteous, punctual, honest, and just generally a great guy. When you don't know much about something like plumbing and have to rely on a contractor, Commonwealth is the kind of company you want in your corner."

"We have a long history with VPS, so Robert was a natural to do this job for us. The work involved several visits over the course of a month or more in coordination with the general contractor who was doing the renovation work and electricians. The work was done to a very high quality standard, as Robert knows his business well and has very high standards. He's also very friendly and a great communicator - when you can reach him. The difficulty in working with VPS is that they are so busy that telephone calls, texts and emails often don't get returned for days, and there were several occasions when VPS didn't show up when they were scheduled to, with no advance notice. This was incredibly frustrating to us and to the general and subs who have to stop work or redirect their efforts when their daily plan, which depended on plumbing work having been done beforehand, was disrupted - often for days at a time. We have been willing so far to chalk this issue up to natural growth pains of a small business, but the frustration level was such that it's not certain we will use VPS again; certainly not without a clear understanding ahead of time as to our expectations regarding communication and scheduling. VPS is best when not needed urgently and for one-visit projects.
