"James did an amazing job building our deck last spring. He was efficient, always on time and communicated any hiccups in the process. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Will be getting more work done this summer by him and I highly recommend him to anyone else who needs outdoor home additions!"

"We had a different person who came out before them who was horrible and then I tried Crawlspace/Basement Waterproofing Solution because they were reasonably priced and they worked with me on scheduling their time so that they would be there when the electrician are there. They worked together with the electricians and were all done. They were wonderful. It was an all-day project but everybody worked together. Everybody showed up, everybody cooperated, and it was all done in one day with a big job. They were very good with the whole thing. The price was really good deal and all they have to do is seal from the outside to the inside. The biggest thing for us is that, they were here when everybody is here to do one thing. They are really good and we only had one problem but it was all filled up. This company gave exactly what we needed, showed up when they are supposed to, and did a great job. It was perfect. I would recommend right away to anybody before anybody else.  We were very impressed with them."

"Excellent. Covid 19 slowed things down initially but everything went smoothly once construction materials became available. Crew was professional and efficient. Adam and Yancy were very responsive to any questions and issues. The patio enclosure is the talk of the neighborhood. Highly recommended."

"Everything went very well.  Showed up on time and explained everything after it was done and cleaned up all the mess.  I decided to get the doors with windows on the top and it makes such a big difference on how nice the house looks.   The windows don't cost much (approx $325.00 total )  and really worth it.  My doors are the best looking ones on my block.

"I had water issues in the basement bathroom.  Every time there was a heavy downpour (and this year there has been one after another) water came in from the exterior wall.  I could sort of narrow down the place but couldn't be sure if it was one leak or more.  Bob Hansen had given me some good advice two years ago when another company had wanted me to replace my entire air conditioning system due to water leakage through the duct-work...Bob suggested trying something less drastic to start with. Had the gutters cleaned out and some tuck-pointing done.  Fixed the problem at a far lower cost (and, oh by the way, there's nothing wrong with my air conditioner) so I trusted him to give me good advice.
He and two other men came in and discovered that there was a crack in the foundation.  They examined the bathroom wall, the wall in the adjoining HVAC room and the exterior of the house on that side.  Much to my relief, they determined that they could make the repair from the inside, without digging out the exterior foundation.  They also found that it was coming from the exterior bathroom wall and not from behind the furnace (which would have been major because there's almost no room between it and the wall).  He explained the scope of the work...tearing out all the water damaged drywall which was on two sides of the room, filling the cracks (yes, the original crack had branched off to form another one) with a two part process that I can't explain but was very thorough and would take two days for proper curing.
Two men did the work.  There was a lot of drywall dust that got kicked up but they did a pretty good job of containing and cleaning up. They sealed the cracks, left it to cure (and there was a downpour that night, by the way, and the bathroom stayed dry). They replaced the drywall, sealed and finished it, and repaired the area around the base of the shower.  Cleaned up.
We have had several really dramatic, fast moving thunderstorms during the month of June with major water in short periods of time.  My basement bathroom is completely dry.  I'm very happy about that and definitely recommend Hansen Brothers work.

"Murphy's Windows did a great job for me. Very professional and very good pricing. I had shopped around and no one else could compare to what they offered and their pricing. Most other companies offered me a cheaper window at a much higher cost. The install didn't take long at all. My windows all have a woodgrain interior and are very easy to open and clean. They notified me the day before when they were going to be here and the installers were very professional. And now I can enjoy my balcony with its enclosure."

"I took advantage of a special deal offered through Angie's List to inspect and offer solutions for landscape drainage. I was contacted quickly by Mike and scheduled a consultation. He offered several solutions to the standing water and drainage issues we were having. The quotation was very reasonable for the amount of work to be done. One of the downspouts had to be routed underneath an existing paver patio and another under a concrete patio walkway. The work was done in a day, except for relaying the pavers. We were happy that Mike noticed the pavers were not quite right after the job and he made sure it was taken care of. The work areas were covered in new sod, so the landscaping looked great after the work was done. With all the rain we have had since the job was done, I am pleased to report that all the drainage is working great. The side yard where additional soil was added to improve the slope away from the house is also working great - no more standing water. It is getting routed down the property line as it should."

FAQs for shed and enclosure service projects in Wilmington, IL

A treehouse stresses the tree, but proper design keeps that impact manageable. Start with a healthy species, use tree-attachment bolts instead of lag screws, and allow room for future growth. A qualified treehouse builder or arborist can assess load capacity, ensure safe fastening, and monitor the tree’s health after construction.

The time it takes to build a treehouse depends on its size and complexity, and whether you choose a prefab kit or a custom design. A straightforward child's prefab treehouse can be assembled in as little as two days to a week. More complex designs can take two to six weeks. Adding features like plumbing and electricity can add several days to the project timeline. Building a fully livable treehouse can take anywhere from several months to a year.

The best trees for constructing a treehouse are strong and healthy with a minimum diameter of 12 inches. Ideal choices include maple, oak, hemlock, and fir trees. If suitable trees aren't available, you can install additional support posts to reinforce the structure. Consulting with an arborist or local treehouse builder ensures your site is evaluated correctly and your treehouse is securely anchored.

A well-constructed treehouse can last anywhere from 10 to 25 years or more. The lifespan depends on the quality of the materials used and the extent to which they are maintained. Applying weatherproof treatments to the wood can help extend its lifespan. Keep in mind that treehouses in areas with harsh weather conditions may wear faster than those in milder climates.

Building a treehouse for year‑round living is entirely possible when you address both the technical challenges and the lifestyle benefits head‑on. This project requires a secure design that incorporates superior insulation, integrated plumbing, and robust electrical systems, while also creating a sustainable, minimalist, and eco-friendly retreat. To ensure comfort and safety, invest in enhanced structural supports and adhere to strict code-compliance measures. Professional consultation is essential to transform your treehouse into a secure, full-time living space that incorporates off-the-grid and environmentally conscious design.

Plumbing installation in a treehouse is challenging because it requires unique, engineered solutions for an off‑ground structure. This project requires custom-designed water distribution systems, reinforced connections, and specialized adjustments that exceed the standard requirements for home plumbing. In addition, implementing innovative solutions such as composting toilets, rainwater collection systems, and graywater sinks ensures safe operation, efficient drainage, and sustainable water usage. These measures, when combined with rigorous adherence to building codes, guarantee that your treehouse’s plumbing system operates securely and efficiently.
