"We have worked with Justin & his team (“Gutter Ethics”) for the last several years. We found Gutter Ethics on Angie’s List and they were on the top of list with an overall A rating with lots of positive comments / reviews. Justin’s team started out mainly cleaning our gutters and doing a check around the roof line where the gutters were to see everything looked good. They did a good job: they call before they came over, cleaned up the debris, and never had any problems. Then we started to have a problem with our skylight windows…they were starting to leak. Called Justin to see if his team could help us out with the problem. His team came over, looked over the situation, found the problem and presented us with a quote on how much it would cost to fix the problem. Did some comparative shopping and found out their offer was just as competitive as other vendors. Decided to go with Gutter Ethics since they had been doing a good job on our gutter cleaning. They did an excellent job on the fixing the issue. It was done quickly, their team were very professional and they cleaned up after they were done. The next project Justin’s team did for us was replacing the roof on our home. Again, Justin’s team offered us a quote on how much it would cost to do the job. Again did some comparative shopping that yielded the same results…their offer was competitive as other vendors. Went with Gutter Ethics again and they provided the same excellent results as before. The job was done quickly, they were professional and most importantly…cleaned up after they were done. We have high praises for Gutter Ethics and we continue to use them to this day. "Total Home was amazing.  These guys really know their stuff.  They work efficiently and neatly and effectively.  The estimate was right on target even though they ran into some problems with my tile (the sizes varied slightly).  The work looked great  when it was done and they definitely take pride in their work.  They gave me a very detailed write-up of the work done, which I needed for the Buyer of the property. I am using them again, at my new home, this time for painting. ."

"Everything was done very well; removal of old sunroom materials, installation of new wall and roof over additional roof area. All wood work was very well done, installation of new glass and new structural roof! All done well. Exception was the new roof! Here the interfacing of new roof with existing roof was not done well. All the construction was completed at end - literally in last week of 2015; all seemed well for first winter of 2016, then in spring of 2016 the roof began leaking at or near the interface of new with the existing roof. I called Mr. Bart Scesney, the Senior Design Consultant , overseeing the project and reported the leak. He promised a fix. Then through the summer of 2016 the leak seemed to resolve itself but with return of winter the roof leaked through the winter of 2016 -2017. I called Mr. Scesney again and again received a promise of a repair; nothing happened. Again in winter of 2017-2018 leaks occurred, again I called with the same null response. Finally in the fall of 2018 I sent an email to Mr. Scesney with a copy to the President of TRS, Mr. Joe Henley. Again a promise of a repair but no response. Thus, this complaint to Angie's list and the same to the Better Business Bureau. Next will be a formal legal proceeding to sue the company for the cost of an urgent repair. Really hate to take this action because all other aspects of the work was so well done. But I must stop the leak; I have a cathedral ceiling and as a result a leak comes directly into my home."

Initially, he seemed like he was very very knowledgeable, very friendly and gave us thoughts that he knew what he was doing. They arrived on time. They're very good. The crew was pretty quick and efficient. One problem I had was they didn't come with enough materials. They had to reschedule for a completion of some. There were some minor issues that we ran into. They were supposed to paint the chimney cap and never actually did that. It's not a big deal but the other thing was the warranty and we kind of had a fight with them for the warranty to actually be processed. The warranty was the big thing and it was a lifetime warranty and I guess there were personal things that came up. It was just basically what I've learned late, but it took us probably eight months to get the warranty to be processed. That was my biggest concern, but the warranty company ensures me that everything is good even though the paperwork has the wrong number on there and I am assuming that's because they had the wrong number initially which is why they didn't have enough material.
