Stacey gave me a rapid quote that was slightly lower than the other best contractor I could find via Angie's List, and he very clearly gave me all of the details of the materials to purchase. The homeowners picked out tile according to Stacey's recommendations about quality (we got the best subway tile available through Pacific Tile). The superior tile resulted in little or no cracked, irregular tiles and it looks SO GOOD compared to what I found in the box stores. The pattern Stacey uses for simple subway tile is extremely clean and attractive. The guys finished the job in two days just like Stacey said they would; and the attention to detail is MARVELOUS. We can't wait for Chugiak Restoration and Custom Tile to return to tile our new gas fireplace later this fall."

"Mr. Weaver was very responsive to my initial call, came and measured, and double-measured, gave a quote, and we agreed to proceed.  The windows are made by a company in Anchorage.  When he returned with the replacement windows, he discovered they were 1/4 inch too large.  Thus they had to be remade.  He returned the following week with the correct-sized windows.  The installation went quickly.  The windows themselves looked very clear.
The issues keeping the rating at a B rather than an A were for two items that could have been caught in advance. 
1) Not having the correct size in the first installation visit could perhaps have been addressed at the window factory. Measuring the newly made windows at the factory could have found their mistake, rather than bringing the windows for the installation.
2)  After the windows were installed, I noticed the seal at the top right inside was not clean and smooth, i.e. the edge was visible.  After pointing this out to Mr. Weaver, he said the seal must have stretched in the installation and caulked the area.  I also caulked again before repainting the insides and outside of the frame.  One can still see the difference from the other windows, although it is not major.  Perhaps a new seal was in order.
