"We got quotes from 2 other plumbers. Frank came up with the best solution, the 'break through" method to fix the block section plus line 40' of pipe inside the old terracotta reinforcing the whole line that runs under a stream, and protecting it against heavy storm runoff waters. They also installed 2 clean-outs that will give the county access to their section of pipe. They managed to maneuver two backhoes around all of our plants and trees and one across the stream without damage. They were able to dig out the blocked pipe with no impact or silt in the stream. The cost of the job, given the extra protection for the line was less expensive than our other quotes that would have just replaced a small section of pipe, and was overall a fair cost for the high quality of work.  He also does not nickle and dime more costs on for "unexpected" things, although fortunately everything went right for our job. County Utilities and Environmental departments should be pleased that one of their nightmare sewer lines from the 50's has at least one house line intact.

"I got in touch with 3 different Contractors and invited them to check the place and give me quotes. Two of them visited the place. One did not show up. Of the two VKB Kitchen and Bath was prompt to show up and gave me a detailed itemized quote listing all work to be performed. VKB had a full designer showroom in Columbia and had samples of all materials on display. I was also given an option to purchase materials from stores like Ferguson, build.com as per my wish within the budget.
It was a major renovation -- The old Kitchen was completely demolished and all new Kitchen Cabinets, Granite CounterTops, Faucets, Recessed Lighting, Hardwood flooring on the entire main level, some electrical and plumbing work. They also completely renovated the Master Bathroom with Tile Surround shower. The carpet was replaced in the entire house. Some electrical work was also performed on the electrical panel to put separate circuit breakers for Microwave/Fridge/Stove.
The project was completed on-time and with the initial budget. VKB was flexible with the schedule and the workers were prompt, courteous and left the place clean after completing the work.
