"I hired this company based on reviews from Angie's list.  My experience was a bit different than the A + rating they had.  The answered my call for a quote and arrived on time.  The communicated in Spanish about everything.  We all walked the house together and I pointed out everything that needed painting.  We had a discussion about the master bath, the last words I heard George senior tell me was "we can fix this".  They quoted me a price of $3400.00 and said if I got everything done at once, he would take $200.00 off.  I didn't get other quotes because I just moved in and time was a factor, so I can't really comment on price.  During the week, they dropped of a large paint sample thing to make may choices from.  They arrived early to start the two-day job, a Friday and a Saturday.  They finished the job on Saturday, as promised.  My master bath was not painted, the wood on the steps was not painted, they removed all the drapery hardware and it was tossed out apparently, they took a blind down in the master bedroom and I had to remind many times for them to fix it, they did with crazy glue.  The walls and ceiling are beautiful but the trim is horrible.  I am still painting over spots that were missed or the paint was wiped off when they cleaned the floors.  There was a quarter sized drop of paint on my maple dining room table.  There was a large spot of white trim paint on the colored wall in the hall, but worst of all I continue to clean small spots and areas where there is white paint on the oak floors. They did do me one favor and lift a TV back up above the fireplace that had been taken down for painting. They did leave all the extra paint in the basement, one bucket not closed and has a paint roller floating in it.  The worst thing was them teasing my dogs and getting them agitated and pushing each other towards them and laughing.  Overall, I don't think I had an "A" experience.  Unfortunately I would not recommend them or use them again.

"We were extremely happy that we chose this company. Mr. DiFatta was the most professional mason of all the masons we asked for an estimate. He came over promptly, and he explained the reasons behind each repair thoroughly. His crew also had high standards for professional work; if something didn't look right near their repairs, they fixed it at no cost even if it was not part of the original contract. Mr. DiFatta also offered very affordable fixes to a few minor problems on other areas of the house (this was not an upsell -- these were problems that we thought would be too expensive to fix this year, and he did them for a fraction of what we expected). We would absolutely call this company again for masonry in the future. They are not necessarily the cheapest option, but their professionalism is well worth it; you often get what you pay for."

"It went very well.  Anthony and his crew were very professional, courteous and attentive to details.   The crew arrived on schedule everyday.  I so enjoyed working with the crew that on three days I bought coffee and bread for them in the early mornings.  The entire job took about six days (there were some rain delays). My row house in upper NW DC is 87 years old, and now it is easily the most attractive home from the curb on my block.  They did an excellent job scraping, priming and then repainting the front Tudor wood beams (a dark chocolate brown), repairing and repainting the stucco (white), caulking windows, and repainting iron handrails.  The chocolate brown wood now pops on the newly painted white stucco.  
Anthony Barrera was always desiring to make me satisfied. Proof of this is that Anthony has offered to do one more small indoor painting job for FREE, just to makeup for one occasion when he wasn't able to meet an agreed to appointment. I told him this is very kind of him, and it's great customer service. They did a great job all around, and I'd happily work with them again."

"Rob was courteous, pleasant and professional. They did a spotless cleaning job. He showed us pictures of the inside of the chimney from the boiler where the old terracotta lining was crumbling and starting to block the exhaust. Right on time 2 days later and put in a new stainless steel liner. In the afternoon I asked what was taking so long he said that the first liner they put in got a tear so they took it out and put it a new one, guaranteed for life.. I was blown away. Nobody would have noticed. I was blown away by the integrity. The brickwork needs replacing but I already arranged that for after the winter. He asked me a few questions and told me that the guy sounded like he knew what he was doing. Again, you can't buy this kind of work ethic anymore His partner Vinny was very knowledgeable in fireplace mechanics and gave my wife, pretty good at fireplaces herself, some excellent advice. One of my best experiences with home repair folk. And free cleaning next year."

The folks at First Class Chimney were very professional from initial contact, scheduling appointments and scheduling the job. There proposal was straight forward and a greater value than other company's I spoke to. They performed the work and I am extremely happy with their work and my experience doing business with them. I can't say enough about working with MakHome Renovations... they have been amazing to work with and I would whole-heartedly recommend them to anybody looking to do remodeling work on their home. I would give them 6 stars if I could. The scope of the work for me is that I'm getting 2 bathroom remodels done. Both bathrooms were taken down all the way to the studs. Lastly, the quality of work was great. they have a very great eye for making sure all the tile is laid down correctly, were meticulous about the installation of hardware, vanities, mirrors, lights, etc... If you're looking for somebody to work with, definitely give MakHome a call, you won't be disappointed."

"I have been using these guys for years. They have redesigned and remodeled my kitchen and other projects throughout my home. Their ideas for my home are always very creative and work well. They most recently redesigned and remodeled my bathroom and it turned out amazing. As always the project went smoothly from the start. I met with them at my home and they took measurements and we discussed ideas. I then went to their showroom to review the designs, yes designs they gave me more than one option. This was very helpful as it's hard for me to envision things on my own. I decided to go with the second option which involved removing a wall and expanding the bathroom. I worked with them to pick out my tile, cabinets and granite right there after seeing the designs. It was very convenient. The job started about three weeks later, right when they promised and wrapped up earlier than expected. It turned out fantastic and I couldn't be happier.
