I found Clear As Glass on Angie's list last fall, and contacted them to use a coupon they were advertising. The weather was completely uncooperative, so I stayed in touch with Todd, the owner, over the winter to schedule a day when the weather would permit. I was quite surprised by how great his communication was - he never forgot about me, even as we touched base occasionally over the winter months. Todd finally contacted me a few weeks ago, we scheduled the job, and voila! Years of gross mildew, algae, and whatever else was growing on our house was magically gone. When I came home and saw the house I was actually shocked at how clean it was, and how quickly he was able to complete the work. When my husband saw the house, he actually thought the house was cleaner than when we had the vinyl installed! For how dirty the house was, he gave us an extremely great deal (most people would have charged double, considering how dirty the house was). Todd is very friendly, and personable, and makes working with him great. I will most CERTAINLY call him again when we need anything cleaned with our home exterior, and would highly recommend his services."

Their attention to detail was impeccable! They finished ahead of schedule moving all the furniture back into place and cleaning up to perfection. We are so pleased with the work of Bolivar Painting Company and we are now going to use them for exterior work on our house."

"Drywall subcontractor was Blue Dolphin.  He was excellent and prepared everything for painting.    <br /> Problem arose when repair of the drywall seams extended into the surrounding walls and called for extra painting to be done.   I would have paid extra for the additional work but was told I wouldn't be charged for it. <br /> Real problem was bid included painting a small ceiling downstairs.  It was included in the contract.  There were 2 small stains on the ceiling.  I asked if those could be primed and matched, but contractor said better to paint the whole ceiling which I agreed to and again which was included in contract.    They double primed the stains downstairs and started work upstairs. <br /> When the painters finished upstairs I asked about downstairs ceiling and they called contractor who said that wasn't part of the deal which was simply not true.  He may have forgotten about it,  but it was in the contract.  Plus they had started the job by priming the stains.  Then Contractor got a little huffy on the phone  saying "this is how its going to be, if you want the downstairs ceiling done it will be another $300.00."  His attitude was very disappointing.  So I ended up paying another 300.00, but I didn't pay extra for the additional upstairs painting so it wasn't something I was going to make an issue about.  However, when General Contractor didn't live up to his written contract, then that's a problem people should know about.    Blue Dolphin drywall (his subcontractor) was great though and I would recommend him for drywall repair.  The painting crew was average and missed a few areas that had to be redone. <br />"

"Went as I was hoping / expected. Cost was higher than the $99 advertised cleaning but that was due to the inclusion of the wood stove and not an open fireplace / chimney. I knew this based on other reviews and talking with Jen at Capitol before I scheduled them so this was not a surprise. The price paid was still reasonable for the job. Capitol came with a team of 3 professionals so they were very quick and they didn't skip any steps. The lead man reviewed the job and visual observations of the chimney (including pictures). He provided recommendations to help reduce the water seepage into the brick that was causing chipping of the exterior and rust on the stove unit (e.g. power wash and brick sealer). He provided a quote for me to consider on future work and there were NO high pressure sales tactics used. He even gave me a recommendation of where to pick up some of the professional products to use if I wanted to do the job myself."
