"I was beyond impressed! All I really wanted was quality work and someone who would clean up the mess when they were done, at a reasonable price. At every stage of the process, they communicated with me and exceeded my expectations. I will tell all my friends how great they are. I have this cute little mini house mailbox, I forgot to ask them, but they re-shingled my mailbox to match the house- that’s the sort of attention to detail they provided. They took 3 days, but primarily 2 days- each night they cleaned up and even moved their trailer out of our driveway. They redid a bird eve (is that what it’s called?). They left nothing undone, and everything they touched was left better than when they started. I didn’t know that a roofing company could be so thorough, tidy, communicative, and high quality. The owner showed his enthusiasm for his company and passion for the work that do every time we communicated. All I can say is that I was impressed, and if you get a bid from them and meet Nathan, you will know what I am talking about. Do yourself a favor and get a bid from Spencer’s roofing- their level of professionalism is impressive, and they under promise and over deliver."

"

I was looking to replace the 25-year-old roof my home and a co-worker referred me to Express Roofing as she had previously had her roof done by them. I contacted them and made an appointment for inspection and an estimate. They came promptly and inspected the roof, then scheduled another appointment to go over the estimate in detail and explain the products they would use and how. They also recommended we add some extra roof vents since ours was inadequate (something the other companies I contacted didn't). Their estimate was in the middle of the other two I had received, but theirs included the cost of wood whereas the others didn't. There were no surprises as a result. The workers showed up each morning promptly and worked long hours to get our roof done in 2-1/2 days. The work site was cleaned up each evening so you'd never know they were there. The communication was excellent as they kept us informed throughout the process.  Because they didn't use all of the wood in the estimate, we actually received a discount back for that. Express Roofing's professionalism, excellent work, superior work materials, and honesty makes me highly recommend this company for anyone looking to re-roof their home.

"Solar tube installed efficiently and cleanly with no disruption. Technician installer Rick explained the options well, and made a good job of the break through to the roof, finishing off with an unobtrusive fitting that matched our Spanish tile roof. Very pleased with the result which has brought much needed light yo an otherwise dull hallway.

"They did a good job. We had initially planned for March but postponed due to Covid. We finally got the roof done in Dec and they honored the originally contract. They were on time and kept to schedule. The crew was well mannered. Their price was reasonable"

"I could not have asked for a more honest and upfront guy to look at my roof. My home was a repo with two shingle layers so I had no idea how old it was but I did know I disliked the color. I was hoping it was near death, although I couldn't find any signs of it, so I could justify having it torn off and redone in a decent color. Dustin inspected it and said I had 5-7 years to go and he really could not find a reason to recommend replacing it. How many roofers have that much integrity knowing the customer is looking for a reason for a new roof? 4 years from now Lyons will be my roofer."

"I would highly recommend TSM Roofing for all your roofing needs. I needed roof vents installed as my attic was very hot in the summer, after contacting Sheldon (TSM Roofing) he came to look at my house and within a week started the work (installation of 6 high quality roof turbines) which he and his helper completed in about 2-3 hours for the exact great price he quoted me. I would recommend Sheldon to anyone. Jason Adams"

FAQs for heating cable for roof installation projects in Aguila, AZ

A typical heat cable uses 5 watts per foot, regardless of the outside temperature. So, if your cable is 100 feet long, it uses 500 watts per hour. Expect to pay an additional $40 to $200 or more per month on your electricity bill. Be sure to turn manual cables off in the summer when you don't need them.

To install heat tape on your roof, place it along the lower edge in a precise zig-zag pattern to maximize coverage and heat distribution. Professional installers secure the tape with specialized clips that attach firmly to your shingles. This method ensures even heat distribution to effectively melt ice and snow while maintaining your roof's integrity during severe winter conditions.

Choosing between heated gutters and roof heating cables usually comes down to budget, appearance, and performance. Heated gutters cost less to install and blend seamlessly with your home’s exterior, making them a discreet, lower-cost option for preventing ice dams. Roof heating cables deliver more customizable and powerful heat along roof edges to handle heavy snow and ice, but they require more material and labor, increasing your upfront investment. Evaluate your roof design, winter weather demands, and energy budget to select the system that works best for your property.

Roof heating cables prevent ice dams by melting snow and stopping ice buildup at the roof edge. Ice damming occurs when melting snow refreezes on a cold roof—often right above the gutter line—and blocks water from draining, which can force moisture under shingles into your home. Heating cables maintain a warm channel that clears ice dams as soon as they form and protects your roof from water damage and structural issues.

Roof heating cables last between two and ten years before replacement is needed, wearing out faster than your roof itself. Their lifespan depends on climate severity, cable type, and exposure to physical damage. Consistent inspections and preventative maintenance—such as clearing debris, tightening clips, and checking electrical connections—can extend their service life and ensure reliable snow and ice protection each winter.

To safely remove snow from your roof, start with a specially designed roof rake, standing firmly on the ground and pulling snow downhill rather than climbing onto the roof. You can also apply calcium chloride ice melt to break up stubborn ice or gently use a secured rope from a safe vantage point.

Keep in mind that large snow slabs can weigh hundreds of pounds and pose a serious fall risk. If conditions are hazardous or you lack the right equipment, hire a professional to protect your safety and your roof’s integrity.
