"I reached out to Blaine Construction in a panic over my cabinet doors as they were done incorrectly by another company and I was in the process of listing my home for rent. They came out same day and got measurements, told me it was an easy fix and built and installed custom doors in about a week and a half. I’m very thankful for them and their customer service! Would absolutely hire them again!"

"We are so glad we chose this company to paint the interior of our house! We needed every room painted and everything turned out beautiful. The entire experience with them was great. Friendly, professional, and thorough. We are very impressed with the work and there was no disturbance to any daily routines in the house. Couldn’t have asked for a better company to be in our home! If you are looking for quality work that is done right, this company is who you will want to use. We would use them again in the future if any other painting is needed!"

"We had granite countertop put on our existing bathroom vanity and had a custom cabinet added on top of the vanity also the ceramic floor tile was replaced with wood look ceramic tile (LOVE IT), old plastic shower torn out and redesigned and tiled, old bathtub out and replaced with a new one with a tile surround. The contractor that he hired to do the rip out and replace was very good nice and professional. Heath knew just what kind of granite I wanted and did a great job , the granite is beautiful and the person he got to build the cabinet did a beautiful job, the cabinet was very well built., I must say that the cabinet is my favorite part of the bathroom next to the wood look ceramic floor.I love my new bathroom......Oh I must tell you that our old shower was replaced with a "cave" shower which means no more glass doors to keep clean and I love it."

"It went quite well.  <br /> The reason I didn't rate their price higher is because our job fell below their minimum charge. It was a small project that I wanted to do on an experimental basis before moving on to bigger jobs. <br /> Even with its small scope, Sheri Osburn and her staff made us feel important. She was flexible and went out of her way to ensure that we had a top-quality painter who understood the importance of attention to detail. He arrived on time and worked quietly and efficiently, completing his work well ahead of the time frame I'd been given. He also consulted with me periodically to make sure we were in agreement. <br /> Sheri also was instrumental in helping us select the appropriate color for the washroom. The finished product was a major improvement over what we had previously. Very pleased with the results. <br /> I expect to be contacting CertaPro of Augusta for additional projects in the near future. <br />"

"For that amount of money, I have a totally 'new' kitchen; it looks like it's worth 25,000. It is my dream kitchen at a cost I never thought I could get it for and without having cabinets ripped out. It is stunning! <br /> Rick and Pam (and crew) were a pleasure to work with, very professional, superb work ethic, and not to mention talented in design & woodworking.  <br /> *Would love to add photos soon!* <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Aiken, SC

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
