"They gave a complete estimate on what needs to Be done including installation of a sump pump, waterproofing and repairs to the foundation. It will completely fix the problem. They showed up when they said they would and provided a written description of all work to be done. They even planted grass over where they had to dig. Pay for quality work, not tv advertising."

"All installation was done in a professional manner and met my needs. When I had an issue with the retaining wall Chris resolved it promptly. The location of the work (on a hill) likely made the project more difficult, but the crew was able to complete the job as proposed. The versa lock retaining wall was priced below some competitors (only one was cheaper), but it is still an expensive project, though it needs to be done correctly, and Riggins seem to have the experience needed for the project. The french drains empty to the front of the house and work well, and clearly correct the areas with the most problems. Other areas I'll need to wait and see if they also perform equally as well. <br />"

"Mr. Manning and his team did an excellent job, including helping out when our homeowners' association did not approve of the original color we'd selected, assisting in finding a suitable compromise. They did very good work on the repairs, at an extremely reasonable price, and were a friendly, helpful team of professionals. We are contacting him now to do some additional repairs as well. <br />"

"We would highly recommend them. We were very satisfied with their work; in fact, we have never been more satisfied with any contractor that we have ever hired. The owner was very professional and dedicated to being sure that the finished product was everything that the contract promised. <br /> The entire crew was friendly, cooperative, and efficient. The work was done in a timely manner. <br /> We plan to have them replace our front door, add a parking pad and an attached storage building within a few months. Will update once that’s completed, but have no doubt that it will be above and beyond our satisfaction. <br />"

"They came and removed the old upper deck. Put in some electric outlet in the basement for our new hot tub. On Monday morning they came with all the material and began work. We decided to add more steps and keep the free standing deck squared, they were very accommodating! <br />Very friendly and knowledgable workers! Job was finished ahead of schedule. We couldn't be more pleased with the wonderful job they did! It's a beautiful deck! We look forward to many wonderful times out back! Would highly recommend Prescott & Sons!"

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Aiken, SC

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
