His team is extremely detail oriented, conscientious, kind and beyond professional. They meticulously cleaned up everyday and were prompt with arriving and staying for the entire day. "Take home message: Joe DaSilva from SILMAC Construction is a reliable contractor who produces a great result and is easy to work with. We purchased an older home this summer and worked with SILMAC on a major renovation including full kitchen and 1.5 bathroom renovations, as well as updates, structural work and repairs throughout the home. Joe has been responsive from the start and worked with us on our timeline, starting work as soon as we purchased the home. We are now on week 16 of SILMAC's quoted 8 week turnaround time, but this is largely due to change orders we have made as we learned more about the home. Joe has brought in a talented team to do the work. Joe is knowledgeable and has good advice, and is willing to discuss and price out different scenarios for you before you make a decision about what to move forward with. He was an excellent resource when considering multiple options and saying "we can do it, but I don't think it's worth it for you." This really helped us stay on budget! Overall, our new home is completely transformed and we are very happy with the result. Communication has been by phone, text and email, which overall has worked well for us, but occasionally things have been miscommunicated or misunderstood. Just general advice for any construction project, keep in mind that your contractor is busy and to make your expectations clear, send reminders and document decisions. Overall, Joe was very reliable and easy to talk to and clarified anything we asked about. Everyone on his crew was very nice to work with, but specifically we wanted to mention Antonio, who may be one of the nicest people we've ever worked with! Joe's billing process was clear, transparent and if he left anything out or if we requested clarification or corrections, they were worked out quickly. We have completed several renovations in a smaller home with different contractors over the years, and this overall experience with SILMAC was better than any of our other renovations. We would work with SILMAC again and have already started discussing work that we hope to do sometime in 2020/2021. We are working through our punch list right now and will update this post or add another review if anything changes from what we've written here."

"We wanted a design and build firm to make design/cost tradeoffs. It went great as the project was done well, under budget, and quicker than expected. They act as a general contractor and you can be as little or as much as involved as you want. For things we had strong opinions on we met with the subs also. We've been in the space 6+ months and haven't had any problems. Our basement has been dry (they installed a perimeter drain)."

"This is the second bathroom remodel Joe has done for us. This project also included tiling a long back hall, wrapping exterior pillars, and changing out the door knobs and hinges in our home. Joe is meticulous! The first contractor we have ever used who is fussier than we are, and that is saying a lot! Joe takes great pride in his work and makes sure we are 100% pleased with every detail. "Three terms you don't hear when speaking about contractors : Honesty, timely and effecient and pride of Workmanship. If you use Liam Neary Construction you will be using these terms and smiling as you tell others about your amazing experience. I had a leak in my roof with water coming in through the chimney. The water came into the utilitiy room creating a mini swimming pool and the hot water tank shut down. Liam came out within an hour of my phone call got my water running showed me how to clean the sensor for the future and reset the hot water tank. He scheduled to come out later that day to replace flashing on the roof to hopefully fix the problem. Unfortunately for me, it was not the full resolution. In the next rainstorm, I got water in the chimney again and reached out to Liam. This time it was a saturday and was thinking I might see him at the start of the work week or need to pay crazy money just to get him to show up. This was not my experience he showed up in 2 hours reviewed what he had done and come up with a new solution. He determined that the chimney needed some additional work and adjusted the price because of the original work that he had done correctly, but did not solve the problem completely. This contractor is the real deal. If you have a problem give him a call today. He will make your life easier and resolve your problems quickly. For the job done right call Liam Neary."

"It went very well. We had corresponded on the phone a few times and pictures were sent to give a general idea as to what needed to be done. When David arrived, I looked at the wood he had brought, and immediately knew that I had wanted something different. He had no problem with that. He made a phone call and drove a few miles up the street to the local Building Center on a quest to find what I was looking for. And he found it! By coincidence, someone had special ordered this beadboard and then cancelled the order. Happy Day! Needless to say, my front porch looks better than it ever did. It looks perfect! I am delighted with their work and would not hesitate to hire them again. I know that I will. His prices are fair.
