"Bill was great! He was able to build our home within 6 months, which was amazing! He was very organized and very good with communicating with us throughout the entire process. He was able to save us 15k through certain design choices! He is definitely the guy to go to to get the job done. The house looks amazing and have been in it for almost 4 months now and we love it."

"Collings Construction built me a beautiful bathroom. My guests have complimented on how wonderful it is. I just love having a place for my guests to use. When they worked on it they always cleaned up every night. They came on time. They did it quickly and their prices were competitive. Thank you so much for a great bathroom! "

"Dusty is the best contractor I have ever worked with-EVER! We have used Elite Mountain Homes multiple times, including: a complete home gut, rebuild, including the addition of an entire second floor, a mudroom and, most recently, a custom silo build. Dusty isn’t a contractor-he’s an artist! He leans into creativity, re-purposes materials, offers affordable solutions and creates the most beautiful masterpieces. He communicates clearly and-wait for it-timely. He delivers on his promises and autographs his work with quality."

"We had these guys come in and build out extra office space for us in our shop! project turned out top notch. There was a couple things they caught that I wouldn’t have caught so I’m glad they have the experience to be able to do this kind of work super thankful of the job quality and how fast they were able to knock us out it exceeded my expectations."

"Ted started out ok and was tasked to come in and clean up a previous contractor's mess. We went over the scope of the work that was left to finish and he stated his rate was high but does good work. He definitely has his thoughts on how he wants your project to look and later admitted to us he is very stubborn. The project was moving along ok, until we started questioning some of his decisions and options for our project, that is when things turned and apparently he didn't like our opinions on our own house. After coming by to collect a large check in the middle of a half completed siding job and the start of some painting, Ted stopped showing up and would not answer calls. Finally I received a message that he will not be doing anymore work for us. We put up with a lot of his pushiness along the way and just wanted him to finish what he started, but he refused. I guess he can dish it out but can't take it."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Alpine, UT

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
