Lily and her team removed everything, fixed the area where the patio had been damaged by a neighboring tree, laid a new brick path matching the existing patio, and plant new ground cover in the yard. "Mike and Old English Construction did a great job repairing, resetting, and cleaning the flagstones in our backyard patio. They look great, and are no longer a tripping hazard for myself and my family. Additionally, they replaced ½ our driveway, which was badly cracked and needed to be repaired and regraded. Mike really went the extra mile to make sure that part of the project met our goals."

"Was very happy with the work done by Kurt and his team. Our house is located on a large hill so this was not an easy job to remove the dirt and debris for existing retaining wall down two flights of stairs via wheelbarrow, and bringing the bricks for the new retaining wall up the hill. They were polite and professional, and left the area looking great and clean. They tore up the front yard a little bit where the wheelbarrow down the hill in the front yard, but it was probably unavoidable and they made sure to plant some new grass in those areas and it is growing back quickly. We are very happy with our new retaining wall. Would certainly use Kurt and his team again."

"A&T's estimate was in line with what we hoped, given that our use of the two fireplaces is occasional and primarily for entertainment, not for heat.  We had received another estimate from another contractor for a more substantial scope of work (including two new stainless steel flues) that was beyond what we envisioned for this repair.
Because of variable winter weather, this work was actually performed in three visits.  The first visit was to install the dampers and replace the spark arrestors on the two flues.  This was able to be done in cold, dry weather, but it was too cold for the masonry work to be performed.  The second house call was delayed due to cold and snow, but their workman came out on a warm afternoon to complete that work.  He took care to photograph the work before and after as evidence of the completion.  He also did not mind that I went up on the roof to check on his progress.  The third house call was required to spray on the waterproofing of the masonry.  In fact, I think the technician was not aware that the third visit would be required, but after he checked with the company, he agreed that another visit was in order. This work was completed on another sufficiently warm afternoon a couple weeks later.
Each time, their workman collected the portion of the agreed fee as stated on their proposal.  The estimate was clearly written and divided into separate scopes of work so it was easy to verify and break down the fee owed.
Also, their online scheduling system was very clear and easy to work with--I would receive an email notification and a link to open if rescheduling were required.  I commend the owners for deploying this system--very easy and quick to make and verify a change.

"Mike came out on a Saturday morning to discuss our needs and review options. He provided ideas and found images of possible plant products to show us. Mike stayed out in the rain to measure and calculate the amount of mulch and rocks needed to meet our needs. He provided a written estimate prior to leaving. Mike was clear about the time frame when he would be able to begin the work and contacted us within the estimated window to establish a start date. Mike and his crew showed up when scheduled and worked over portions of two days to transform the select sections of our landscaping into something we are proud of.
