"EXCELLENT!!! Every interaction we had with Hunter was professional but caring, his attention to detail impeccable, and on top of all of that he was honest. It is rare to find someone in construction who makes you feel they are looking out for you but Hunter did just that! On our third day without hot water and too many discussions with plumbers I found Foothills Plumbing on Angie's List, the reviews were excellent, so I called. I was sent to voice mail but before I could leave a message Hunter was on the other line. I told him about my water heater coming apart at the seams and that we had been without hot water for several days and he assured me he could have it fixed within a day! I sent him pictures and he gave me an estimate on replacement which was reasonable for the job ( unlike some of the other bids I had received). We set a time for him to come by the next day and give me an in person bid. He arrived on time and brought a crew. He gave us two options- one to replace the tank with like kind and better quality and two to upgrade to tankless. He was honest that the tankless would be more but explained the differences. He was never pushy only informative. He was also patient as I had to have him repeat all of the information to my husband as well. We did end up upgrading but the cost was less than several other plumbers had quoted us for same kind and quality! Hunter and his team retrofitted our room to accommodate the new heater, found existing exhaust pipes that were unattached and reworked them, installed the hot water heater, and cleaned up all of the mess they had created on that same day! They worked well into the evening to make right on their promise of a hot shower that evening!!! We are so pleased with our new energy efficient system and greatful for Foothills Plumbing that we are already making a list of other, not so immediate :), jobs that we can hire them for. "Been having septic tank failure and had to get it pumped twice this year and it was filling close to the top again. I called them last second and were able to have technician come next day and were able to perform work the following day after that. They even drained the septic dank while there, saving me from paying for it to be drained by another plumbing service. While working on the new drain field ($4000 for 3 bdrm house) that they were hired to install, they noticed the septic tank had been rotting (must be at least 50 years old and was made of cinderblock) and needed to be replaced. The new tank would add on another $3000. Under the ground there was a pvc pipe going from my house towards the backyard but was serving no purpose. As they dug with the tractor they damaged it and broke it open, I noticed it broken while they were working but did not care because it was not harming anything. Once I paid the invoice, I noticed they charged me $300 for repairing the pipe they broke and that I did not need or request for being fixed. Thought that should be mentioned. They did very good work in a short amount of time. I am not sure if the work was worth the price, if it is then they are great but I woke up that day expecting to spend $4000 and ended up spending $7,300 and suspect there could have been less expensive solutions if I were more knowledgeable about septic systems, but alteast I can be certain I have a septic system that is more than operational and should be fine for decades."

"We had another plumbing company come out due to a leak. Rather than do any diagnostics, they just replaced the pressure valve. It still leaked. I called the next Monday and was told oh, you need a new water heater. Johnny Gavilan from Preferred Home Services checked a couple things and found our expansion tank was bad. He did warn us there still could be a problem with the water heater but at least he checked first. If we need the water heater replaced, our expansion tank will be new!"
