"My wife and I hired All Star Contractors to convert an attached garage into living space (about 250 sq ft) and we had an outstanding experience with them. Bill managed every step of the process (design, permitting, build) honestly and fairly, with excellent communication and reasonable pricing. The end result is exactly what we had hoped for. We first reached out to the company with a general idea of what we wanted to accomplish, and our budget. Bill understood what we wanted, and made many useful suggestions to help us create a room that was both aesthetically pleasing and practical, within the budget. The building process lasted about five weeks, with daily work done entirely by two members of Bill’s team (Derek and Mike), with Bill checking in daily to monitor progress. Having the same three people in our house allowed for excellent communication, and it was obvious how dedicated they were to their craft. Any time in the evening we’d see something that concerned us, we’d raise it with them the next morning and invariably they’d show they were already ahead of us and on their way to addressing our concerns. It made us extremely comfortable knowing that the end result would be excellent. As with any project, we considered small revisions in the middle of the process. When that occurred, Bill explained up front the projected costs, allowing us to make informed decisions about what would be worth it to us. "The salesman, James, was great. We worked together  on figuring out a design that worked with our little house. The workmen were prompt and fast. However, there were things that the salesman agreed would be done and they groused about it. It should've been settled with the workers before they came and we shouldn't have had to deal with the attitude. They did, for some addition money, reattach awnings - we hadn't arranged for that and we were glad to have it done. <br /> They did not finish the windows. After they wrapped them, they didn't seal them again so this winter a breeze was coming in until my husband worked on it. When we called to ask to have it done, James informed us that the NJ office had closed. We called the number he gave us to follow up on the job, and the messages were never answered. <br /> The porch is great and really makes the house look good. The job was done well (except for sealing the windows) and they were very fast and the construction caused little or no inconvenience. It was so great to have it be so easy.  So it's unfortunate that it didn't finish up well. <br /> The salesman, James Kelley, was really good - very helpful and available whenever we had any questions or concerns. <br />"

"After my contractor put up the deck & knee wall Hudson Valley Sunrooms installed my Four Seasons Sunroom to the back of my house, which I'll be using as a kitchen/sitting room.  I am TOTALLY satisfied with the work, and the company.  Chris Smalley and his very capable, reliable, crew did a terrific job... even to the point of taking delivery of the sunroom components at MIDNIGHT, himself, due to an unforseen snowstorm.  After it was delivered, and we could start work, Mr. Smalley and his crew put the glassed roofed addition up in record time.  They came when they said they would, worked hard all day and did an excellent job. It has made a world of difference to my home's appearance, and my enjoyment of same.  As for service... Mr. Smalley stopped by unannounced after the recent Sept. hurricane, just to make sure that every thing was ok... how often does THAT happen?"

As you know, there were many other contractors working on our house at the same time, but none were as meticulous as you.</p> <p>You treated out house as if it were your own. We have received numerous compliments on the wraparound porch on the front of the house. No one would have taken either the time or effort you did in laying down the mahogany flooring. It is absolutely beautiful. We have given your name and number to many people who have driven by and stopped to admire it.</p> <p>However, the masonry work that was done was outstanding. When we knew we needed to have both existing chimneys extended by thirteen feet, we were doubtful, to say the least. We never thought the bricks would match in color or size or that the workmanship would equal what was already there. You assured us it could be done. We are constantly amazed at the precision in which it was done. One cannot tell the difference from where the old ended and the new begins, which is what is desired in an extension. "Very professional, on time, threw in free lock and rounded down to nearest 100 in price. Their price was cheaper than that of an inferior door installer. Will definitely get windows from the in next year or two. Also want to get shutters to match door. I highly recommend. Sam was my salesman and was great. <br />"

"Just a few years ago, we hired Double D to remove all of the old bright yellow siding (40 years old) and remove both layers of old roofing. The goal was to replace the roof and figure out the best options for us regarding the siding. The owner came out, met with us, presented options and associated costs quite clearly. Ultimately, we choose a lovely shade of sage green siding and a gray roof. We could not be happier. The employees were polite and efficient. The work was done in a timely manner (less than two weeks) and still looks great. We had zero problems with Double D. I plan on using them again to update a section of the siding that had previously been covered by a back deck. IMPORTANT NOTE: My neighbors replaced their siding with another company even though we advised them that Double D’s pricing was spot on and extremely professional, with attention to detail. Five months after their siding was installed, huge swaths of siding fell off! And their contractor was no where to be found. That’s when they asked for Double D! You will not regret utilizing Double D and will appreciate the variety of services available."
