"I have been impressed with Subcomm Pools since our first contact. After days of research trying to find a company that could help us with a potential leak, I decided to contact Subcomm Pools. "BJ Pool & SPA is a first rate company.  Bob, the owner, has been working with pools for decades and knows everything about pools. He is actually willing to try to repair equipment, unlike many other lesser companies that merely put in new stuff.  If you have any issues with your pool and spa, these are the people to call: they will fix anything and will always provide you with the best options.  Bill, the specialist who came to work on the unusual configuration of equipment for my small indoor pool and spa, demonstrated a great deal of experience, ability and honesty.  BJ Pool & Spa might not seem cheap, however, given their vast knowledge, experience and technical ability, they will provide you with quality service and advice that will save you money in the long run.  Their competence and integrity is extremely reassuring.  It isn't always easy to find a good pool company (this industry isn't as regulated as other professions), and it took me a while to find this one. BJ Pool will be the company I call when I want honest and reliable service

"Backyard Ponds is magic. I have a small backyard pond,stream and waterfall that have been
leaking for years. Various workmen had poured concrete into it, slathered mortar
between stones and sprayed special waterfall foam all over the sides of it. My
pond, stream and waterfall continued to leak. Hilary of Backyard Ponds looked at it for a while, moved one
stone and fixed the leak. How did you do that! I yelled. Well after you work on
enough of these things you get an eye for what the problem could be. Then she
vacuumed all the mud that had been clogging the pum , reattached the waterline
and pump that I could never get to stay together, restacked the rocks along the
edge of the stream so they actually sat on top of each other instead of sliding
down at all angles, and added a few strategically placed rocks to hide the pump
and waterline and cover the rubber sides of the stream. She added a regulator to
the water line so I could make the water run fast and slow. And more. I have had
a pond and stream for fifteen years, and many people have worked on it, from
expensive professioanl landscapers to guys I would swear the contractor picked
up off the street corner. The difference in using someone who specializes in
ponds is stunning. Backyard ponds is
magic.

"The big deal service from Walls Electrical Service Inc was favorable. I think the service was within a week of the big deal purchase. They had some extra work that they thought that we needed but we did not get it."

"Pool Pros came recommended by the pool builder, who uses them to perform pool startups and customer indoctrination.  They have a terrific guy who performs the startup and indoctrination, and primarily does repairs.  The crew that performed the weekly service, however, left a lot to be desired.  As a new pool, the finish required frequent brushing.  In addition to the weekly service, I paid to have them come out and brush the pool a few times.
The first week of service, I missed the crew, despite being away from the house for about 30 minutes the entire day.  I figured they must have pulled into my house right after I left.
The second week, I saw them pull in, went to introduce myself about 10 minutes later, and they were gone.  Another time, I saw one of the guys take 4 brush strokes, when he was supposed to brush the entire pool. 
One time I caught them about to leave after being there a few minutes, and asked if they vacuumed the pool.  They obviously hadn't been there long enough do it.  The tech replied "do you think it needs it?"  I pointed out that there were a lot of worms on the bottom.  He vacuumed the pool, but should I really have to ask?
This was a new pool, and we had to leave it open to allow the finish to cure.  Even though it was too cold to use, and didn't need to be pristine, I never felt I was getting what I paid for.
