"We couldn't be more pleased, they did an absolutely beautiful job. Dana met with us on Saturday and the crown molding was installed the following Thursday. Our home in Sun City West was pre-owned and had crown molding in the living/dining room that had been installed by the previous owners and a different company. We wanted iCrown to install crown molding in our kitchen/family room. I called them last week and the crown molding is already installed. Dana, the owner, is extremely personable, professional and efficient. They even repaired a bad joint in the living room. "My wife and I recently met Ray with CKBR at a Maricopa County Home Show. He was one of many folks we visited with when we were looking to remodel our guest bathroom. After the Home Show, Ray was very prompt with following up with us. We ended up having several contractors in our house to provide estimates, which included very high pressure sales tactics. Ray was the final one we were going to visit with. His approach was dramatically different than the others, and one of the primary reasons we ultimately ended up going with CKBR. He did not pressure us at all. The products he offered were very similar to the other companies and the price was on the lower end of the estimates we received. He gave us multiple options to choose from based on various levels of work we could have done. He even worked with us on installation only pricing if we wanted to provide some of the materials. After deciding to go with CKBR, scheduling the job was handled very quickly. Ray and the Project Manager, Shane, came over to take final measurements and ordered the material. Once the material arrived, the installation only took three partial days – by two very qualified installers. Ray followed up right away to ensure we were satisfied. There were two very minor details I asked about. He and Shane were in contact with one another, and Shane came over himself a few days later to take care of them. Overall, I am very satisfied we decided to do business with CKBR. My wife and I have talked about having work done in one of our other bathrooms. When we’re ready to do that work, I think we’ll skip the hassle of having multiple people in our home with their high-pressure sales tactics and just call Ray with CKBR!"

"The contractor's proposal was competitive and we relied upon the fact that the contracotr was on Angie's List. The contractor started and completed the work on schedule. The first thing that the contractor did was to place protective plastic sheeting over the existing book casess, carpet and areas around the work area. They maintained this protective sheeting throughout the job so we had very little cleanup to do once they were finished. The contractor showed up promptly each morning and completed the job on the schedule comitted. The owner, Gary Patton, was very easy to work with. The work performed was of excellent quality. There were no hidden extras that came up as the work progressed. The contractor cleaned the area thoroughly after the work was completed. I would contract with this company any time that we needed remodelling. They did an outstandingf job!"

"My garage door broke and needed to be repaired or replaced. I was told by A1 Advantage that the door was old and they could not get replacement parts for it. They came the next day to install the door. I was told by the installer that the door would be painted in the next week. (I paid extra for this service).It is now over a month later and the door is not painted.  I have called them several times in the last month and have gotten a different excuse each time. The door is very nice but they have not followed up on their customer service, and I could not recommend them at this point.

"The start of the job went well with the estimate, ordering cabinets, etc. The first week of work went well with the demolition. Then in the 2nd week and onward they would not show up daily and when someone came it was for 3 or 4 hours only. This became bothersome.  Difficulties noted: they had a serious labor problem with people quitting and doing the work incorrectly. The back splash tile had to be redone 3 times, their shower door contracted company installed bathtub doors incorrectly and they had to be redone, the painting had to be redone as the wood surfaces were not scraped prior to painting. I only got prompt service when I became demanding that the job was done correctly, wouldn't take their excuses, and send daily letters to the the owner and foreman with punch list items. Unfortunately, I had to take off work to supervise the end of the project. The job took 6 weeks longer than estimated. Excellence noted: the electrician was superb, the plumber excellent, and Joe fixed tile that needed to be redone. The contractor was responsive but clearly juggling too many projects with griping customers. The house looks beautiful, but after 3 months post-completion, some concerns appear -  grout is cracking or coming out on some areas and paint touch ups are needed in several areas.  I think the owners and foremen have good intentions, but the the company has a serious labor problem and they have too many jobs they juggle. Would advise hiring someone else to do your remodeling who has a stable work crew, will adhere to the schedule, and does quality work the first time.
