Both the wood repair and the installation of the soffitt and fascia were completely timely and at exactly the price that was quoted. The team worked efficiently, coming early and finishing up all but a minor bit in one day. "Joe is a bit of a character, but very honest and up front about what will work and what will not. Our old stairs had stucco over plywood on the sides and water had got under the stucco and rotted the plywood and the stairs. Joe advised us that if we re-did the same application, we’d end up with the same result. So, we had the stairs rebuilt and left open underneath. Then Joe repaired the stucco where the stairs met the house and added stucco to the raw block underneath the stairs. His price was very fair and he showed up the very next day to complete the job. I would definitely recommend and would hire him again should I have other stucco repairs needed."

"Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"
