"The sales person, Suzy, described their process, (which turned out to be mostly accurate), and suggested materials, which I chose (which turned out to mostly the ones available). The linoleum I chose did not look much like the picture she showed from the Web, but it's OK. There was a bit more time than promised between her visit and the call from the office, but not much. My construction manager was Jason, and he was here every day and made sure that all worked well. Ryan was my installer. Everything is wonderful; the cabinets are great and the installed tile is really striking. Ryan cleaned up every day, came promptly, and did excellent work. The only negative things are that the cabinets (by Wolf) have "moveable" shelves that are so hard to move that each one takes about 10 minutes of sweat-inducing strain to unfasten. They want their shelves to be sturdy, and they could accomplish that with the same system, but make the shelves about 1/8 of an inch shorter. Also some quarter round still needs to be put in the closet. One of the electrical outlets took some adjusting because it was set too deep. Remodel USA will do the kitchen etc, but does not paint, so we spent a fair amount of time cleaning, priming, and repainting the walls and some woodwork. I worked on some other parts that were difficult (electrical and heating), but that is because it's an old house."

"The original repair date was July 30, 2024 8:00-5:00. At 12:04, I received an email that the technician Trever was on his way. When he had still not arrived and I had not heard from him, I tried calling the Sears Home Service number and was unable to speak to a person to ask what may have happened. I then called Choice and was told they have no control over the companies they hire to provide the repair services but would reach out to Sears to schedule another person. I then received an email that the technician commented "customer declined service" with a payment receipt for $300.00. WHAT!! Trever never arrived and we never declined service to a person who wasn't here and didn't call. I waited all day for him!! Then Sears Home Services had the nerve to send an email asking for me to rate the excellence of service. I couldn't believe it. Meanwhile my dishwasher still hasn't been repaired or evaluated. The next morning, Wednesday, July 31, William C from Sears Home Services called and said he would be here between 12:00 and 12:30. He arrived about 12:45 and went right to work trying to figure out the problem with the dishwasher. He determined that the cost of repair would exceed $450 and it would take at least a week for the parts to be delivered . He spoke to Michelle at Choice Home Warranty and she said she would let him know whether it should be repaired or replaced. She did call back a few minutes later to say it would be replaced. Not long after that I did receive an email from Choice with that news and the allowance of $246 instead of a replacement. I went to Lowe's to see what I could purchase to replace my dishwasher. The $246 barely covers the $174 delivery and installation and $50 charge to remove the old dishwasher. I ended up tapping the "accept" option b/c I felt pressured. The salesman at Lowe's said it would be at least two weeks for any new dishwasher to be delivered to the store and then scheduled for delivery and installation. Also, I have to pay up front for the entire costs involved. Your email stated it could take up to 30 days to receive the eCard for Lowe's. In the meantime, I STILL don't have a dishwasher. I would very much appreciate CHW expediting the eCard for Lowe's so I can purchase a new dishwasher."

"We had our basement remodeled from the "hey the 70"s called wants your style back" to a modern, comfortable space that is exactly what we wanted. We didnt make any real changes to the rooms so it was just a reinvention. Have to say that when we heard the ideas for the basement we really knew this company is very experienced. Quite impressed with the attention to saving us where we could and spending where we had to, made us comfortable enough to tackle the kitchen, I was not thinking re-facing, we just had no idea really what the process was, to be honest. We got so much more by going on the Nu-Face recommendation, new backsplash, new floor, new countertops. I am truly happy, these are the things that seem so simple but really make the biggest difference, they made sure all walk ways and areas of the home they were working in or had to go through to get to an area to work in were protected and they cleaned up everyday no mess just cause its a "work site", they showed up everyday and worked, they followed the "production schedule". We had our basement reinvented (they called it that and it helped us, it was explained to me less than a remodel, more than a makeover), we our hall bathroom remodeled and our kitchen re-faced/remodeled. With one company, they became family in ways but sorry guys like family its ok your arent here every-day. Not our first time remodeling but it was truly the best experience. We felt price was very good, quality of products and workmanship very good."
