Customers say: Quick response

"Kelvin is outstanding! He is a master electrician who is professional and courteous. I explained the problem with a few keys words he immediately had a solution. In no time he had the parts, replaced them and not only is the problem I had fixed, the electricity in the whole house now runs brighter and better than before! I will be calling Kelvin for any future electrical needs! "

"Happy to say I finally found someone reliable, he said he's coming at 8 he was there by 8:15 (not like the other guys that gave me a 4 hour window of when they "may show up if we have time") he was well priced and when he finished the work he actually cleaned up after himself 10/10 would hire him again for future projects. "Avoid at all costs! Incompetent workmanship from start to finish. Took over a month to reinstall correctly. Tried to tell me that "panels working properly upon reinstall" was not in his contract. Extremely unpleasant to work with. Used all my spare roof tiles without asking. Honestly looked like he was figuring it out as he went. Hire someone else."

"Techie to the Rescue is great. I was having a problem with syncing a new iPhone 13 to my laptop and couldn't figure out what to do. After making an appointment (which was very easy), we spoke the next day over Zoom and he walked me through the entire process. He explained the problem in understandable terms and was very easy to communicate with. If I have any future tech issues, I'm calling the Techie."

FAQs for electrical switches, outlets & fixtures install or repair projects in Arlington, AZ

To select and hire an electrician for your light switch installation, start by evaluating candidates as you would for any skilled position. Ask detailed questions, request a written quote, and verify their licensing credentials. This careful screening prevents unexpected fees and ensures every aspect of the installation, including any drywall repairs, complies with code.

A light switch can malfunction due to compromised wiring or overheating conditions. Faulty connections and excess heat diminish the switch’s performance. If you hear crackling, popping, or hissing sounds when toggling the switch, this indicates active electrical faults that pose a safety hazard and demand immediate professional inspection. Prompt attention prevents further damage and ensures reliable operation.

Installing a light switch takes 30 minutes or less, on average. The installation time depends on the switch type, with dimmer switches requiring additional time compared to standard on-off switches. While the hardware replacement might be completed in 15 minutes, it's essential to adhere to safety protocols, like turning off the circuit breaker and verifying there's no power, for a safe and code-compliant installation.
